Ah, ah! Microsoft, not mojang. Mojang wouldnt have made this many additions so close together like this.
Microsoft only owns Mojang, it does not add things. What do you mean "this many additions?" Mojang's done this before.

Oh look, another guy who clicks 5 cps. I just explained why GOOD pvpers hate 1.9. There are a mass of people saying, "Oh, I'm so good at 1.9", when in reality they only click 5 cps. But you're 100% entitled to your opinion.
One who clicks 9+ cps, who hotkeys, refills, combos, etc.

That's true. I mean, you might think by my posts I'm a fan, which I am, but this update does kinda ruin minecraft. Might as well call it another MMO Rpg. I thought minecraft was going to be something different, but being playing for 4 years, MC has changed over time. I liked it's mythical unknown feel and how it doesn't blend in with other games, but there combat additions have killed MC. It's now turning into a MMO rpg. The shields we're fine on its own, same with dual wielding, but all the sword cool downs, seriously? Now getting to the rpg, I know most of you think: "RPG? Hmph. Yeah right" well it is! Think about it, most of your goals is to beat the Ender Dragon! Kill Mobs! Level Up! Enchant! Don't tell me it has nothing to do with an MMO RPG. Wait 'till they get rid of the blockyness, and end up this game in Virtual Reality. Just wait...
But my point is, this Update ruined everything you know. If you're a new player, you don't know what I'm talking about. If you've played for like 4 years like me, you know the huge affect it has on Minecraft. I'm not saying I'm quiting, I just gotta adapt to this "new" PvP as being a PvP Master since like 2012. Goodbye Old MC PvP... Welcome MMO Rpg PvP...

Those were all scenarios of how you might shove someone off a cliff. Here are some that make having player collisions a bad idea.
And take into account these can be applied to survival worlds, where turning off collisions can also cause issues with gameplay.
• Ever done parkour? I bet it can sometimes get crowded on larger survival servers. Having collisions on will make it far harder then it needs to be, with everyone shoving everyone else off to try to do it. *snip* • Moving around player filled areas will just in general be harder. Not
harder meaning challenging. Harder meaning annoying and tedious.
That's a great point. Thank God for Spigot.

• You can move people into hazardous areas such as PvP enabled zones, trapped areas or natural hazards like lava. By accident or on purpose.
• You can get stuck against someone while climbing ladders. This will cause you and the other person to climb up the ladder against your will. Very annoying and potentially dangerous if you're trying to go DOWN to escape an enemy. Try it for yourself with a villager.
• Invisible trolls can shove people around without their victims even knowing who did it. Even if there is no PvP. This also works with parkour.
• All the things I've previously stated about animals and villagers.
All of that is... not that bad honestly.

So you want to be able to troll more? No wonder you support it.
"No wonder you support it" - Lol.
Quote from 9314265068»
It's basically nothing but annoyance and trolling by players and mobs alike.
Debatable. I found it rather fun - I liked being tense when near a cliff with friends.

No, animals haven't been able to shove you around for a while, try it in 1.8. You can shove them around, but not vice versa.
Sorry, I remembered animals pushing me around, but the memory came from a version before collision was taken out.

• They could be running from something, like a mob or enemy player
• They could be running towards something, like a mob or enemy player
• They could want something that is behind you, like an ore but you're blocking the way unintentionally
• They could be knocked into you from an attack
• They could be knocked into you by water
• They could fall on you, causing a strong collision force
• They could be rushing for water when on fire
• They might want to get somewhere quick and they don't want to stop
• They might forget you can push people because they've played 1.8 or lower and got used to no collisions
• They might be building something and not looking behind them
• They might be trying to get past you carefully, but end up pushing you off anyway
Yes, those are scenarios where someone might get bumped off a cliff, but I don't think any are good reasons to not have player collisions. Just... don't bump into people near cliffs.
• They could just be a troll, but PvP is disabled

From my understanding, the OP wants there to be more wiggle room in the EULA for the ability to purchase things that contain items or abilities, but may not be unbalanced compared to the free options. For example, the paid class in the OP has the abilities of both of the free classes, but is more restricted than if they just combined the two classes.
The problem with this is that an EULA like this doesn't work unless it goes by hard definitions. The current definitions are "nothing that can be considered a leg up over people who can't or don't wish to pay", which boils down to "aesthetic items, except no capes". That is a very clear line of what is allowed and what is not allowed. As soon as you muddy that definition, it creates loopholes and confusion. Especially when whether something is a gameplay advantage or not can be subjective unless you draw that hard line.
If you allow the selling of a class that can do the things that two free classes can do because it is somehow restricted, it sets a precedent where people can say "you allowed that, so why not allow this because it is kind of similar?" Then something else gets allowed, and before long the rules of what can be done and what cannot become so vague and convoluted the entire thing becomes utterly unenforceable to anyone good with words who has read up on similar cases (for more information on rules that cannot be enforced because of vague wording and loopholes, visit your local library and ask for a modern law book of any country anywhere).
So I disagree with muddying the EULA in this nature. And looking back on the example given, that is totally a gameplay advantage over free classes. You have all the abilities of one class, and almost all the abilities of the other. And something tells me that one in particular was chosen because it was the best one for an example out of all of the other examples that could have been given, which is the entire problem. It is a cherry-picked example to suit an argument to allow cherry-picking what rules to follow.

In 1.7, minecraft pvp was perfect. Sprint button, block hitting, etc.. They should have stopped pvp there, don't add anything new. But no, ofc they just had to add more things that are completely stupid and will ruin pvp.
Prepare for a ton of players to quit minecraft. This is probably the downfall of the game right here.

Don't be fooled, unless slower PC's (or connections) don't have to execute all the same code they will still lag behind cool-down timer or not. The only way to fix any game for all players is to slow game speed to the slowest player and that's no fun. This was basic 20 years ago which is why I pondered another possible reason in the moderator deleted post.
Know what's funny, I started a topic about the good things in 1.9 and no one replied. Yet, in this thread specifically about things we hate, so many people post what they like about 1.9 without getting off-topic warned.

Oooh, thought of a great quote!
Just because something in your past caused you to dislike pvp doesn't mean its bad, it doesn't mean you have to rant about it, DON'T make connections where there are none and DON'T BE A PATRICIA PULLING G-damnit!!!
Like if you understand
P.S. Joking abut the like
Dont complain about changes life is always changing for good and bad both ways is changing dont be afraid to leave your comfort area, just because you dont like it, it means that is bad.

The suggestions forum would get spammed with ideas the new update will have, and now that we're finally getting this stuff, people are complaining because they want their mindless clicky-click-spam back.

But man, I would like to still see this mod update. I like materia as magic rather then enchantments/enchantment magic, and of course summons.
