This is an interesting point, even if I think that it's an exagerated comparison. I also came to that conclusion, trying to figure out what would be the most immersive and "legit" experience in Minecraft. I've always been too lazy to not look at tutorials, but I don't think it's a limiting view.
Thanks for the comments. Comparing the F3 screen to the wiki *is* a bit of an exaggeration, but useful to make a point. Attempting to discover or define the "pure" or "legit" Minecraft experience is a slippery prospect. I spent quite a while getting hung up on trying to predict the patterns of biome distribution using real-world logic. I thought maybe you had a better chance of finding biome x if you searched the perimeters of biome y, just as you might in the real world. As it turns out, this is only sort of true- there are a few simple rules that determine biome distribution that are useful to know, but otherwise the patterns are not "realistic" in any kind of real-world sense. It took me a while, but I've stopped expecting (and playing as if) Minecraft is Earth.
Floating blocks exist in Minecraft- is it legit to build a bridge with no support? Spawners exist in Minecraft- is it legit to build XP farms around them or should you actually have to fight for your XP? Minecraft uses a very simple definition of a "valid door" in village mechanics- is it legit to build and populate villages with "doors" and "houses" that can't possibly be used by the player or NPCs? What about exploiting mob AI- zombies think trap doors are solid and will walk over them- is it legit to take advantage of this? What about unintended consequences or outright glitches or bugs? Is it legit to go after an abandoned mineshaft that you accidentally saw while the chunk was loading?
I feel that the "legit" Minecraft experience is best defined by the individual player. Jeb may have his own opinions about what the game is supposed to be, but part of the beauty (and immense popularity) of the game is that it is both complex *and* incredibly malleable. If you want to farm mobs- great, go to it. If you want to build impossible structures using dyed wool- that's fine. If you want some sort of completely immersive experience, figure out what that means to you and go for it. If you want to use coordinates or mods or the wiki to help you do what you want to do- so be it.
That said, it would be a fantastic idea to separate the functions of the de-bug screen. Want to know the frame rate or memory usage or version? Have that available on one screen. Want to know in-game data that are otherwise difficult, verging on impossible to deduce from the game itself (coordinates, light levels, local difficulty)- put that on a different screen. If I have to enable cheats to use it- well, I guess that's what I'll have to do if I intend to keep playing the way I do.
cheers,
tbg

It has many similar bows. If you want the quiver feature try mine Blade and Battle Gear 2 as well.

As long as you credit the creator in any way and do not claim ownership, you have every right to create a youtube video. In fact, the creator would love the publicity. So they encourage that.
Just no reposting the map if you know what I mean.

Skeletons are like a two-edged bow. They kill with no discrimation, yet terminate with extreme prejudice.

I respectfully disagree. Minecraft is medieval, but not an RPG. In Minecraft, there is no role to play. You kinda just do whatever you want and be whomever you want really.

Unfortunately, there are actually more than just blocks and armor as the above posts said. There is a dyable tool mechanic, a glowing light mechanic, a colored light compatibility, etc., etc.
1.6.4 and 1.7.10 are far too different to code, which is a bit of an issue. Many modding mechanics have changed since then.
Sorry, but I would recommend dropping those mods and moving to 1.7, as many new, better, and similar mods exist.

Anyways, my issue is the megaman fanbase is huge, and yet there is only one megaman mod beyond 1.6.2. And 1.6.2 is a pretty deplorable and unstable minecraft version. 1.6.4 is good, but again there are none. Well, there is 1, but it has nonfunctioning items. The only megaman mod out there, really, is exclusively MMBN based. Which is great because I really like mega man battle network. But there is currently no variety in MM mods and all the megman mods are individually in different minecraft versions.
Which is where my idea comes in. A Mega Man X Mod. I mean, think about it. Really, it is the transition between modern hack and slash megaman games and classic shoot and die frequently ones. And a good one too.
So my request is not for a basic Mega Buster, as the mentioned above mod contains. But for the robots.
Boss robots that dropped ability drives, which can be Installed into an X-Buster.
By default, the X-Buster rapid fires small 1-damage yet armor piercing projectiles, rather then charged, explosive ones. However, you can add up to 9 program chips (9 rather than 8 to realistically fit into a chest-like gui) which you can scroll through to shoot a variety of projectiles.
Here are general ideas for the bosses that drop them, but intentionally are not real megaman bosses:
Slash Pig: A buff huge iron golem-esque pigman robot with a green laser sword that is slow and powerful.
Drops- Explosive pig head chip which fires wither skulls retextured like pig skulls.
Flare Cow: A villager-like cow robot who fires ghast fireballs but moves backwards facing the player making him hard to kill in pvp.
Drops- Ghast chip which fires giant fireballs.
Draco Chicken: A giant green chicken robot who fires blaze fireballs rapidly and jumps towards player for physical damage.
Drops- Blaze chips with small fireballs.
Etc., etc.

FAQ:
1. My world crashed.
-good chance it's my fault, but I test it constantly. It hasn't happened yet....
-alternatively, you could be running Java 8.20. Please don't. Modpacks won't work if so.
2. Ehh...my world is in a CRASH LOOP!
-uh oh! Sorry about that. Use mcedit to remove what is causing it. If it's armor, delete your player folder. WILL wipe inventory.
As I said, this pack is basically crash-proof, though.
3. I can't figure out how to do this!
-Ask me, I'll respond. Or look on the mod's page/wiki.
-If it's buildcraft, don't bother. You weren't supposed to. XD
4. Are there any things I should try?
-Yep.
a. Build Magitek Armor. Shift right click to add coal. Configure fire beam controls, shoot smelting beams.
b. Try out ACTUALLY USING sword essences, they're awesome.
c. NEI should help you with crafting/usage.
d. Build a twilight portal, ore dimension portals with any vanilla ores, and go to hell! (Nether is revamped.)
e. Eternal frost, right click ants, get all the weapons on armor stands.
5. Anything else I should know? Tips?
-Yes
a. Avoid giant foes. THEY WILL KILL YOU.
b. Have diamond armor? Still avoid them.
c. Try mining. There are multiplication ores, deadly dungeon foes with epic rewards, and exclusive underground stuff.
d. Try this for everlasting tools.
Works on EVERYTHING with durability.
e. Shift-Right click a table upgrade on enchanting table.
5. My controls are all funky.
-assign them immediately. Ran out of spaces? Use number keypad or assign all useless controls to one button.
6. Is this final fantasy based?
-No. It's FF INSPIRED!
7. I lost all my magics.
-You have keepInventory or have a charm of keeping. Don't use either while holding (and dying with) a spellbook.
8. Can mod x be added?
-probably. If you ask me. And these are met.
a. Not too overly complicated.
b. Fits theme.
c. Doesn't crash the game. XD
d. Permission can be obtained. Ex: Not mutant creatures.

Such on purpose, though.
Wow, meme.
Very, intended.

I'm thinking you would have a shadow bar that slowly depletes and would have unclear vision. When the bar runs out, you turn back and must recharge. Shadow gear lets you be a shadow longer and the shadow sword does +2 armor piercing damage yet can be used as a shadow, as you could not normally do that.
While a shadow, you can slide up walls and crawl on the cieling darting really fast and see hidden "shadow ores" otherwise disguised as stone to make the armor. Gold tier or something specific can mine these when you are in normal form. They make the previously stated armor/weapons.
You are also invincible as a shadow.
I know it sounds like an IChun mod with complexity, but I would appreciate if someone made this.
