The title says it all. I want to play a modded version of Minecraft 1.2.5. I've been able to rename the folder and files correctly and everything, the game launches fine if I don't edit the .jar file's contents. However, if I actually install the mod (and I'm absolutely sure I'm doing it correctly), when I hit "Play" for the modded version, the launcher closes and nothing happens. The game doesn't crash and burn, it doesn't spit out an error message, it just doesn't launch. I've tested out un- and re-compressing the .jar file and the game works fine, and I'm sure the mod itself isn't the problem. What's going on here?
Great work, but there's something missing--can you please make a tallgrassless version for 1.4.5? The game looks so much better and more nostalgic without tall grass.
HD textures != Custom colors. First ones work, second — not, as they change grass colors.
Install MCPatcher things after all other mods. If there are conflicts, it will work only like that, because
in this case MCPatcher replaces class and then patches it
and otherwise
MCPatcher patches class and then replaces it with unpatched one.
Sorry for the late reply...anyway, nope, still doesn't work. I don't have the whole menu.singleplayer thing anymore (I installed it incorrectly) but now I'm back to the original problem. I installed all my mods via MCPatcher, this is the order in which I did it:
ModLoader
ModLoaderMP
NBXLite
OldDays All in 1
TooManyItems
Single Player Commands
Wolffang's More Ores
HD Textures
Random Mobs
In case it matters, the texturepack I use is Traditional Beauty.
EDIT: Strange...even when I have HD Textures patched in, the grass and foliage colors work fine with the default texture pack. So I'm guessing it has something to do with Traditional Beauty itself?
ModLoader
ModLoaderMP
NBXlite
Others mods
HD Textures and others (random mobs, etc)
Also, you can try Others mods before NBXlite :S
Erm...well, that works, but now I have a new problem...whenever I test MC using the "Test MineCraft" button via MCPatcher, all the menu icons are different, for example instead of Singleplayer it says menu.singleplayer. This only happens when I patch in NBXLite. (After Modloader and ModloaderMP. This doesn't happen until I patch in NBXLite using MCPatcher)
Okay, I'm getting a really weird bug using MCPatcher. So, I patch Modloader and ModloaderMP using it, test MineCraft after each patch using the "Test MineCraft" button, everything works fine. Next, I install any other mod that doesn't come with MCPatcher, patch the .jar using the "Patch" button, then I press "Test MineCraft" and I get an odd glitch where, instead of it saying the usual things like Singleplayer and Options, I get menu.singleplayer and gui.options and things like that. A fix would be nice.
Hm... I seem to have a problem regarding the old grass/foliage colors. I used MCPatcher to install HD Textures after I installed NBXLite (and all of my other mods), and now the colors just look like a dull green. I installed vl.class from Modloader to minecraft.jar and minecraft-1.2.5.jar, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. Help?
I agree wholeheartedly that Chrono Trigger is an amazing RPG, but some of you are starting to lament the death of traditional 2D RPGs. It's true that they aren't on consoles much anymore (aside from things like the Wii's Virtual Console) but what about, say, handhelds? Those still have plenty of remakes (Chrono Trigger obviously is one), and they also have new ones as well. Personally, when (or if) I get tired of Chrono Trigger, I think I'll dig right into Radiant Historia for the DS, which also has time-traveling elements and an awesome story from what I've heard. In fact, people have started calling it the modern-day Chrono Trigger, although I sincerely doubt that any RPG could reach the level that Chrono Trigger has, but it's still a damn fine choice.
On a side note, the Ocean Palace theme is epic. That is all.
In the OP, you said that they were incompatible, but you only listed that it got rid of alpha snow and classic light.
It seems I can also now go past the bounds, but I can't destroy any blocks there...
EDIT: Okay, so with NBXLite's lr.class, I can see the ocean stretch on forever, but the water looks normal. WIth Water Shader's lr.class, I can see the water shader working, but nothing beyond the bounds.
Uhm. I seem to have a problem with the Indev and Classic generators with the Water Shader mod...all the bounds are invisible. No water, no bedrock, etc, nothing.
Uh, no...because one of the custom scripts I have goes to day3, yet I am unable to access that part of the script (she only responds on days 1 and 2, on 3 she does absolutely nothing when right-clicked with mob talker)
Hm...is it a bug that you can't talk to friendly mobs after their "friendly" scripts are finished (i.e. I can talk to Enderman for 2 days, then I can't talk to her ever again)?

Well, I double-clicked on the folder labeled client when it asked me to choose a folder...I think.

This was a fresh minecraft.jar as well.

Well, for now I guess I'll just keep both lr.class files around and switch them when need be

This one (got it from another thread):

It changes skeletons only.
