    Also any ideas what else should be allowed on the shelve? Read my last post first though, I already have some things planned

    I'll likely continue to make more models, regarding the shelves I need more ideas for what to store on them.

    So far I have implemented Books, Research Notes, Warded jars

    And I have plans for Wands, Staves, Septres, Focci Pouch, Essentia Phails, and Potion Bottles


    Oh I forgot to mention the models/textures will likely be tweaked, i'll be sure to keep people posted

    Have recently got back into the whole modeling scene, this time with thuamcraft related models


    It should be noted that these are only concepts at this point as I cant code ...... script maybe but java no

    also Here my oppinion

    Machines, hmm if you were to go by what most tech-mods do it would probably be ore doubling but that’s way too overdone

    Interacting with the world is something that machines to little of now adays, all kinds of automation and high-tech as can be ...... its just too much for me

    I'd rather anything Steam powered, elevators/blast doors/drawbridges or anything that interacts with blocks really
    And yes I know what Flaxbeards steam power is, its not a bad mos it just doesn't have enough things that interacts with the world

    and obviously i have a thing for steam-punk junk :L also theres no mod in existance with steam boats ..... it really should be a thing

    but hey thats my oppinion you should take your mod where you want to go, instead of asking for others for their oppnions on where you should go

    hey tuhljin I have two verry interesting concepts for you

    Golem Ration Core - Provides Items from one inventory to another in specific amounts, could possibly require advanded golems and accept "runic" whitelist/blacklist(s)

    Golem Inversion Core - takes essentia from valid/marked source(s) and puts it into the assigned jar, reservoir, or any other valid thing that accepts it, could possibly require advanced golems and ration the the amount of essentia via a "runic" list

    PS. I came up with the first idea while trying to create a system to auto provide my character with torches ended up having an enderpouch full of em though

    Edit: Woah ok so I haven't really messed round with your mod in a while my bad the inversion core is kinda redundant except for the fact that it could enable precise essentia distribution and auto voiding of excess essentia, still could see uses for this though

    I Agree, there is definitely still room in my heart for a "Chunk Based Aura" mechanic, and it'd definitely bring back the scare i felt from TC2 if everytime i bottled up a node suddenly things were being effected around me

    agreed, I wasn’t around in the moding scene until around 1.5.2 so yeah i ended up not understanding what people meant by TC2 or "le ol rune mechanic" :L and during the break between azanors rewrite for 4 i ended up playing the TC2,


    TC2 had this constant fear that what you did could have a negative impact on the world around you, namely taint which has become more of a nuisance than a threat in the recent incarnations (just my humble oppinion)

    Another bit that was unique to TC2 was the runes, Its even lost to me :L Time to play some more TC2

    j/k. I know you keep TC under pretty tight wraps, especially with all the spooky secrets. A version with yet more influence by the community in terms of its code would be quite interesting-- Github pull requests with more than just the language files, eh? I know I've seen some similar minigames in other mods' research mechanics, like Elemental Tinkerer. Bless its long-forgotten heart.

    EDIT: Interesting proposal for the research/scanning, tho. Scanning is a Neat Thing that could be made More Neat through alternative, possibly more effective ways.

    personally i like the scaning system as it is now, i wouldnt change anything about it ....... and more mod authors need to add aspects to their items so i don't have to rely on the modtweaker which has been increasingly more and more broken since joshie hasnt been able to pour his heart into it

    I think that these are some off the better suggestions here, I would love most of these; for both thematic, and gameplay reasons.

    I Agree I would love to see the previous research system make a comeback and the other ideas are great i would love to play the reseach minigames over and over again if it had this level of variety
