A long time ago I started gathering wood and things to make a giant Deku Tree-type build, but never got around to actually doing it. Maybe someday I'll hop back on that map to finish it.
Will 4J eventually quit updating the 360 and Ps3 versions in favor of the next-gen platform versions? Again, Yes, the 360 and Ps3 versions are within 2 years of the end of their lifecycle. I fully expect to get 1, maybe 2, more content updates on the 360 version and that will be it. I predict we will see the last content update for the 360 version next Fall.
Just a note here: The 360 and PS3 are still more than 2 years from the end of their lifecycle. Microsoft, at least, announced that there are still hundreds of games coming to the 360, and EA has announced that they'll support current gen until 2017.
As for OP: 4J can't do everything at once. They're busy with another version(s) right now. I'm just glad that they're working on something to keep interest alive.
I wish they quit doing textture packs and worked on the next title update
I'm fairly sure that texture packs are done by their artistic team. They have another team that actually works on the updates. Right now, they're working at getting the PS3 version up and running: https://twitter.com/4JStudios/status/399821608463769600
Hey! I'm a new player of minecraft , I currently own it on xbox 360! I was wondering is it anything like PC? Are there servers I can input and play hunger games and etc? I'm very confused
The only way to play with other people is to be one their friend list, or be a friend of a friend. Servers do not exist like they do on the PC version. A game is hosted by the person who made the world, and once that person leaves the world/goes offline, the world goes offline as well.
On September 20th TU13 came out, and since then... Zero information has been released about TU14, partly because no one is asking. Now we have information about anvils, horses, trading, etc... But they aren't confirmed for TU14. I feel as if 4J is either
1) Making this update the biggest update we will ever get
2) Spending too much time on texture/mash-up/skin packs
3) Taking their time to fix all bugs
4) A mix of 2 and 4, with the fact that it might be because of all the new platforms 4J have to work with, but they aren't coming out until March!
Thoughts?
I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with number two. 4J has artists that do things like texture/skin packs at the same time as the updates are being coded.
I would assume it's because they're working on other versions of Minecraft, as well.
They could also be being coy about it, so they don't get 8,000 tweets about when the update is coming out. Who knows.
Ok. But also I just read a forum about the upcoming features for pocket edition, I mean seriously 4J, the pocket edition already has or will be getting new food and some other stuff but they are almost catching up and passing the Xbox 360 version.
I mean can we like stop all other versions and get the Xbox version caught up to the PC version and when we get caught up we continue making updates for the versions.
I mean I have to wait 4 months to get an update that doesn't include a lot when the computer version gets an update every month or two.
Also I read that the pocket edition can have infinite worlds. Why can't we? I mean just include it into the update but warn people if they don't have enough storage they shouldn't load worlds that go infinite.
Also, please include all the of the PC features that that the PC has now into tu14 so you don't have to update Xbox minecraft a lot.
Please take the time to think about this. This would be helpful for me. Make more designs for paintings please too.
Why? What would that accomplish, other than making people who use the other versions mad? Are we supposed to sit and wait, with no updates, until the pocket version "catches up" to Xbox (which may never happen)? Also, you do realize that 4J Studios only port the console versions of Minecraft, right? It's not like they can control the pocket or PC versions and when their updates release.
What are you talking about? The updates we're given have a lot of stuff in them. Heck, in the last content update, we got an entirely new biome!
Do you realize how long that would take to do? If they stopped updating a little at a time, to try and get the 360 version "caught up," then the PC version would be even farther ahead by the time they got us to where the PC is now.
To get back on topic, the only thing I hope to see in the next update is horses.
When we both manage to get on, I play with a friend who lives hours away. Occasionally I'll play by myself, but it gets boring fast if I'm not actively making something big.
Me and a friend do mini-competitions. We'll come up with something like; get a full suit of armor, get to the nether, get a diamond pickaxe, etc..
We're not fans of doing full-blown mini-games too often. We're too lazy to make them.
I'm kind of the same way as UpUp. Changing the textures isn't really a huge thing for me. I do like playing around with a texture pack, thus the reason I got the trial for all of them, but never bought any. A medieval texture pack might change that for me, though...
I have been using the Halloween one; I really like the mobs' reskins and the color of the sky.
even though i dont play skyrim i watch my uncle and it seems like a Okay game. i wouldnt mind having that in MC
It's a pretty fun game. It has it's issues (like every game ever), but it's still fun. I feel like a Skyrim texture pack, at least, would work well with Minecraft...The whole medieval thing...

No, they're spending all their time expanding the user-base. They're working on Minecraft for PS3.

Luckily, the MC360 forums have a section for you to find people with open hunger games(adventure maps, etc.) to join.
Here's the link: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forum/171-mcx360-quick-sessions-minigames/
Good luck finding a game to play, and welcome to the forums!

4J has said that horses will be coming in a future update. It was a while ago, (I think) right after horses were officially put into the PC version.

It has nothing to do with 4J. There are lots of people that experience the same thing with other games/DLC.
I'd go with what vXelerateReturns says, and call Support.
