Jul 30, 2011HotTomatoes posted a message on 1.8 Updates: New Mob...Revealed?"Farlanders" seems about right for these guys though. Think about it, they are odd creatures not of this land, such as Farlands is not of this "world" we call Minecraft. You think that a backstory could be that they came from the Farlands? I mean, considering how long it takes for you to get to farlands, it would make sense you only now start to see them appearing.Posted in: News

your console games are created on pc

Imma let you finish, but reading that made me cringe on many levels.
1. http://www.motioninjoy.com/
That is a third party program for the PC that allows you to map any console controller's layout to keys on the computer. If I wanted to play MC with an xbox controller, all I'd have to do is plug in a wired xbox controller and config it for myself. Bam.
2. Every PC game ported to the console is forced into an optimization so the xbox can run it at a decent FPS. Aka meaning they had to downgrade it's looks to even work on xbox. I mean, people here are running on fancy and infinite worlds without issue, while you silly fillies on xbox are playing with a world roughly around 1000x1000 blocks (enough to fit 1 regular map), and that textures get 'blended' the farther you get away from an area to lessen the load on rendering.
3. Decent online service? You do realize PC users only have to pay for internet connection, and thats it. If your going xbox, you have to both pay internet and a monthly fee for membership.
4. I'd like to see your xbox get custom DLC for free, by the community (and even sometimes) the developers. Almost every DLC that adds actual content to a game on consoles require cash, even if the release on PC was free. I mean, for one, PC users can customize their own skin for FREEEEEE, while your stuck buying skin packs that people complained about sucking,
I own both versions, and I know for a fact that:
So, bums.

"WHERE ARE ALL THESE ****ING MONSTERS COMING FROM" as creepers proceeded to blow my sand wall to **** and skeletons came through and repeatly spawn camped me for the next 2 minutes. Followed by a ragequit where I would never come back to minecraft for 4 months. (not kidding)

UDR presents...
UNICORN CRAFT
After months of cruel, server searching. Looking for that one perfect pvp server, where a player can pvp and blow **** to their heart's content, we thought:
Why not create the server?
So we did!

Wheat Farms
Right now, in the Xbox version, the most common way to obtain food that seems easiest, would be wheat farms. Most people tend to do it like this:
This method here works best and uses the one water block to it's max advantage.
Other, more automatic ways for farms is known with pistons, which were just added not long ago, allow the push of a button to harvest all your crops and bring them to you. The best way to get more crops out of one harvester is to do what I call "stacking" the farm, as seen here.
Pistons (and redstone)
Yeah, those things that push and pull blocks when powered by that redstone stuff. Pretty cool, isn't afraid of anything (expect obsidian, the fatty). Just a few designs for things like doors and switches (bud switches ect.)
First off, the normal 2x2 piston door:
How to build a piston door:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
That's all for now. Will update with more information later today. The sandman is calling me right now to slumber. Expect things like redstone circuits and how to build a proper mob grinder.
