They are using their own opinion on the matter. In my opinion, a developer is in charge of what is and isn't 'for mods only'. Although 3072 is definitely extreme.
I tend to build massive walled Castles and cities. Usually I just get a lot of coal/charcoal and torch a place up after I build a perimeter wall so I can build and farm at night. Usually by the time I get to bedless gameplay I can have snow golems and other defenses up.
Phantoms fly up when hit so a snow golem tower defense network should work for me. I build a needless amount of towers anyway.
Wow. I actually like your complaint. Instead of just calling the game the worst for what it's doing, you explain what it is you have a problem with.
I do like the stuff in the Update Aquatic though. The oceans have been sinfully bland since I started playing back in 1.6 (and had an interest before then due to several let's plays). Most biomes have several mobs and many have a structure. The oceans just had squids and after 1.8 monuments (which were pretty neat). This update adds dolphins, actual fish, turtles, shipwrecks, ocean plants, caves and ravines, tridents, magma and bubbles to the ocean while splitting it up into multiple oceans rather than just the one. The other stuff is just fluff in my book. Except phantoms. Those seem annoying to me the more I think about it.
The water thing seems to allow grates inside water (as long as it is a source block). Hopefully you can place a block Inside a water block. But if not, just one more step if I use fences on an underwater structure.
The better together update (bedrock version) is one Minecraft, based on the PE/Win10 version. I checked and not even Xbox One edition has the same seeds. Although this version is on Win10, Xbox One, Mobile, and soon the Switch so it does work across consoles on the new version. Just not the legacy console and Java versions. I hope this helps.
At the moment, I don't like the nether. My reasoning is this: ghasts. I don't like ghasts AT ALL. Although they make villager trading worth it, funny enough ( if only to get blast protection of some kind ). I haven't been to end yet, so I don't really have an opinion on it.
I personally do both. I like to dig either a 4x4 or 12x12 hole straight to y11 or 12 and I start mining 2x2 or 3x3 tunnels in the north, south, east, and west. Doing this eventually brings me to caves and ravines and stuff.
I honestly use autojump more than I expected. It's really convenient in this village I decided to move into. It spawned on a couple hills so even though I straightened out the paths real easy I still have to jump a lot. With autojump I can get to the upper and lower part of my village easily. This is quickly becoming a necessity as it becomes clear I'll have to make my tree farm near the lower part of my village. To sum it all up, I'm neutral on the matter.

I was Just about to post my own adventures. I was gonna shoot for a more detailed one though.

But I want more mobs whose sole purpose is to exist! Some people just ruin it for everyone.

I, for one, am more worried about horses.

I like turtles.
Everything else is great!

They delayed to actually improve the horse I hope.

I noticed on Tuesday. It'd been awhile since I played last on my tablet. Even longer since I got into a world enough to notice issues.

I just thought I was doing something wrong! My copy has been doing that on my fire tablet.

Extreme hills and roofed forest. Mostly because they're the only two I've built in.

Walking into some lava. Seriously.
