I haven't had time to look into the issue regarding transmitters freezing up after server restarts. I originally thought this was fixed as it worked fine during testing, but several people have reported it still being there. I'll hopefully have some time this weekend to study it. If anyone else has any more information regarding it; I'd be more than grateful for it. Every little detail helps! ^-^
Only thing I can add, default channel 0, never seems to freezes. All the others will freeze. Default channel 0 is on a timed pulser that will activate a pulse every second. My other 2 pulsers (which activate to transmitters) operate on .5 seconds and 7 seconds. Both seem to freeze. Channel 0 is flawless though.
On the server you need ModLoaderMp Server and WirelessRedstone Server.
On the client you need ModLoader, ModLoaderMp Client, Wireless Redstone and Wireless Redstone Client. Which is a bit of a pain, I know. Which is why if you check off the client on the Installer, it will select the other 3 automatically.
The reason you can't see a number on the blocks is because the TileEntity is not downloaded from the server. You can force this by opening the GUI on them and refreshing the state.
Thanks for the clarification, turns out I was missing the redstone connect to SMP client section as you mentioned. All working perfectly now. Thanks heaps mate. Love the mod! Interacting with the block and exiting it will then show the channel as you said, so perfect. Thanks! :smile.gif:
That would make sense. I may have done something wrong or this could be as designed but whenever I right click on the receiver/transmitter to change channels the game crashes. The server continues to run fine but says that I lost connection: disconect.endOfStream.
If I leave them as they are, they will continue to function correctly (transmit pulses). From memory, they usually have a number on the block representing a channel? On these they don't?
Besides modloader etc I have WirelessRedstoneServer14.zip installed on the server and WirelessRedstone14.zip installed on the clients.
Thanks for the update. Appreciate it! Just wondering, the Wireless Clocker mod, will that work with SMP too? Can I just drop the clocker files in to the minecraftserver.jar?
Normal wireless redstone is working perfectly. Just wondering about the extra "clocker" mod?
This. Is. Extremely. Awesomely. Useful.
This mod will be used for the map that will base my multiplayer server map. I thank you from the bottom of my existence for this awesome world-gen edit mod.
This is awesome. Would love to see a SMP mod too. Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion, does it just light up the world (as I would expect night vision to do) or can it highlight blocks that are too dark, e.g. light level 8 and lower?
I have CJBs mods which includes night vision but all it does it remove all shadows/darkness from the game, it doesn't highlight what areas are dark, so I can "torch" them up.
I'm not wanting to be able to see in the dark, I'm just wanting to know which blocks can spawn monsters, so I can place more torches to raise the light levels.
My mod idea is a GUI addon or option that will show you all the areas on the ground/cave in front of you that's darker than a specific light level. E.g. if the light level is 8 or less, then to make the blocks go a different colour, like red or something.
Be a good way to see where the potential mob spawn locations could be and a chance to add more torches to counter that.
Just wanted to say that this is a fantastic mod, thanks heaps! Very, very useful.
I was also wondering if there was an option (or could I please request a feature) that enables you to edit the contents of a chest? I notice if you look at a chest in mcedit, it will tell you the most abundant items in there. However, I have an issue and that one of my mods has changed an ID and now my chest has an unknown item in it and will crash the game if I open the chest or break it open. Sure, I can delete the chest with mcedit but I want to preserve most of the contents of the chest if I can (about 10 or so diamonds, gold etc).
Or perhaps, is there a way for me to list the contents of the chest? If I use mcedit, it tells me there's an unknown item in there but I want to know what else is in there, then I can easily delete the chest using mcedit and then recreate the contents. The key is knowing what I need to replace (diamonds, gold etc).
Was wondering if there was a chest editing program that could edit the contents of a chest in a save. I have a chest full of some really juicy stuff but unfortunately, there's a corrupt item in there and now each time I open up the chest it crashes the game. Ideally, I'm just wanting to edit the chest to remove the corrupt items.

Couldn't see any mention of this being fixed? Just wondering if it has? Cheers

I've found that the scott tools can be a bit troublesome when trying to get multiple mods to work together (especially on SMP).

If I break the chest, the game crashes too.
