I have played minecraft since alpha; I've watched it grow and become what it is today. along the road I built my own server, peaking at about 150 unique players. Having managed a big server, you will not have any problems from me; I hate griefing, rule breaking, and general disruption; being an admin for years makes you dislike that. From my server, I learned to have fun in a community and to manage players and myself so that everyone could have a good time.
Also, I played MMOs for a long time. I tried near ten different MMOs, all with their own pros and cons. I will thus adapt quickly to your version of a MMO, and maybe be able to offer constructive criticism if it is required!

Since Atmer arrived in town, nobody knows what he did. He disappears during the night, sometimes shows up during the day. Wrath Minecraft is a 24/7, SMP, Factions-based server with iConomy, Runecraft, and many more plugins installed. This is a 6 1/2 month old server (started in October of '10), so the admins have a good bit of experience in getting everything to run smoothly :wink.gif: We are lag free 99% of the time, and aside from scheduled restarts and backups the server is always up.
We are currently setting up factional warfare (Order vs Chaos) to enable players to PvP and survive in a land farther away from our creative part of the map. Faction warfare sees NO spawned items AT ALL, no help from admins, and admins themselves, if they are part of faction, do no spawn items unless for RP purposes.
Who we are looking for :
Wrath is an excellent server for many different types of players; whether you are a veteran architect, a hardcore survivalist, a complete n00b, or just somebody looking for a relaxed server where you can build with your friends and get in an occasional brawl when things get dull. The only hard and fast rule on this server is that destroying other player's creations (griefing) is strictly forbidden(even in the Faction Warfare), although there are several other things that are frowned upon by the staff (abusive language in chat, using client mods to cheat, being a **** to everybody).
Basically, if you wish to hit a relaxed atmosphere with a little bit of competition and rivalry between two factions, PvP, and building, you are at the right place.
Skype is mandatory, mic or no mic, we use it to talk to others and share ip.
You MUST be of age 16 or older, and unless youre extremely mature you wont get in if you are below 16.
The plugins on Wrath change from update to update, but there are several you will always find:
-Worldguard (fire spread and creeper block damage disabled)
-Runecraft (all runes enabled)
-iConomy (Chest Shop and Jobs plugins are currently used with this)
-Craftbook
-Olof Larsson's Factions Plugin
-Fully fonctionnal Nether
We are also planning on implementing some sort of questing plugin in the near future, as well as an NPC plugin it is ever ported to bukkit. Currently, some admins encourage RPing by building sign quests (Reading signs and completing what they ask) with rewards at the end.
