posted a message on Wasteland Reborn - The Classic Wasteland Mod, reborn for 1.11 & 1.12!

Great news! Decided to look at backporting the mod to 1.11.2 and it turns out that it was really easy. I have pushed a 1.11.2 release of the mod to Curse and it should be available for download soon!

This new release is identical to the current 1.12.2 release and I hope to keep feature parity between the two releases until 1.13 comes out.

Since this mod has once again been "abandoned" I have updated it to 1.12.2 and it's available in this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/minecraft-mods/2881212-wasteland-reborn-the-classic-wasteland-mod-reborn

I might also consider backporting it to 1.11.

posted a message on Wasteland Reborn - The Classic Wasteland Mod, reborn for 1.11 & 1.12!

This mod is a port of the original Wasteland mod by Silver_Weasek.

It adds a brand new worldtype with limited water and grass. Zombies can spawn in the day, and it makes for a challenging Minecraft survival experience, especially when paired with other challenge mods.

This mod is a difficulty enhancer which simulates an apocalypse.

The ruins and other options such as bunkers can be disabled in the mod config file.

    Features:

    • A new worldtype that intends to make survival a lot more difficult, by removing animals and grass, as well as limiting the water supply.
    • Zombies that survive in daylight
    • Several structures, ruined cities, abandoned tents and houses, bunkers.
    • You can configure what items/blocks can spawn in chests around the world, useful when playing with other mods or with modpacks.

    Possible Additions:

    • Reimplement some of the lost features, like not allowing the player to sleep the night away.
    • Add more daylight monsters, perhaps a daylight skeleton.
    • Tweak chest loot to add some new items from 1.11 and 1.12 like Totems of Undying.

For those confused, the website for blastcraft has been taken down until i'm finished making the new one! sadly work on that has been postponed as i'm rewriting the mod for 1.8, planned features are:

    - Cleaner code

    - An api?

    - Better names

    - Nei and Waila support

    - More strict blocks

    - More tiering

I have no idea when i will be done as i still have school to focus on!

That idea isn't too far fetched, but would require me to disable the biomes from naturally spawning, which a lot of people won't like. So this will either be an addon or a config option.

You just summarized my script for the mist right there. With that said, there are no other "easy" ways to create mist/fog without doing so.

As for your question, the plan for flux mod is to have a set amount of mist being in each biome, when the set amount is reached the biome will be converted from say a "mist plains" to a normal plains biome. Having the ability to see better in these biomes as the mist decreases would be possible but would be quite a bit of work, i shall consider doing it after figuring out how i would go about doing so!

Thank you for your valuable feedack good sir!

And a new release is available, it adds nothing new, but it's for 1.8! NOTE: The 1.8 version is unstable and is therefore in alpha(use at your own risk). The mist effects are no longer in the mist biomes, this is obviously being worked on but it will take some time to get it fixed! Thanks for your patience!

That could work for one of my planned addons for the mod, which is all about using the mist for redstone flux, creating water, and similar.

Update 1.5.7 is now available for download from curseforge: http://minecraft.curseforge.com/mc-mods/229270-mistcraft/files/2233043! Make sure to download the version lableled: [UNIVERSAL] If you don't know what dev versions are, then you don't need them! I would recommend making a new world for this update, as it fixes previous biomes and adds new ones!

    Version Changelog:

    - Trees now spawn in mist forests.

    - Flowers no longer spawn in mist biomes.

    - Mist Desert biome added.

    About

Mistcraft is a mod that adds in mist from Final Fantasy IX(9). Mistcraft itself is mainly just a base mod for more mods to come. These add-on mods will do anything from allowing you to manipulate the mist for your own needs, to generating redstone flux(TE).

The mistcraft base mod aims to add in the mist biomes that the other addon mods will use for they're own content.

For a more detailed description of what the mod adds, check the wiki located here: https://github.com/Hennamann/Mistcraft/wiki

For the future, please post issues on github here: https://github.com/Hennamann/BlastCraft/issues

As for your error, it seems to be biomes o plenty, and Openblocks causing the error. But this error happened once you added blastcraft version 1.6.8 and up?
