Hey dawgs, quick update: as you may have heard in the news, SOE has just been acquired and been renamed to Daybreak Game Company! With that and the open beta of Landmark around the corner, I've been more than a bit busy, so streams are now postponed until further notice. Sorry for the inconsistency, I know it sucks. I can give more details in a week or two, so sit tight.
Otherwise, I just uploaded a video of Nebulous Rax with 60 FPS and crazy good lighting! Check it out!
Stay tuned for more details and resuming of streams... (quick note: I overdid it last time, so I'll have more consistent and less lengthy streams in the future.)
Open command prompt, type "ping SERVER_IP" (replacing SERVER_IP with the server's IP address and without the quotes).
What does it say?
Also, what does Minecraft say when trying to connect? Connection timed out?
seems like the cmd catched the server, but when im in minecraft, nothing, deleted java firewall rule to create a new one entering minecraft server menu, nothing
No, don't answer me, because this is mainly about the set of buildings and subbuildings for Millenaire I made, cleverly named as "the castle":
How does it works? You start with three buildings:
- The keep, where you have your living space, the throne room, the council chambers and some dungeons, besides others (library, cellar, kitchen, etc..)
- The storage, aptly named after it's main and only function
- The Inn, located outside the walls with merchants and servants
From there and using the Millenaire signs system, you select which buildings to build inside your walls, and which to evolve ('round 6 ages each). Some buildings, like the Great hall, are more focused on multiplayer stuff, while others like the stables add new shops, characters (stableman) and production systems (saddles, leads, nametags, horse armors).
( A 6th age complete castle comparation to the Norman fort)
How to install it and use it?
- Download it from the millenaire forums: http://www.millenair...c.php?f=7&t=316
- Unzip it and copy the contents to your .minecraft folder (caution: it will copy over your goodlist, itemlist and norman tradelist).
- Become a Norman Natural leader.
- Get a big squarey block of solid gold and a village wand, place the block on your desired area for the castle and magically touch it with the wand. Then select the village named "Norman Castle".
- Success!
I'll be glad to hear about any suggestions, stories or issues you might have.
As soldiers/archers, I strongly suggest to use Noppes NPCmod:
Things to do/improve:
- Find a way to integrate Noppes' NPCmod soldiers/archers to a millenaire building, so you can hire guards.
- Create quests that make you face threats to your castle (invasions, illness, fires?, etc).
- Add some custom dialogs to characters
- Improve the shops and stuff making for the special characters on the village:
> Vicar: Churchstuff, possibly books
> Maid: No idea yet, suggestions?
> Stableman: The tag system doesn't work, yet.. help!
> Master of Coin: Something related to the market, possibly external buildings as well.
> Maester: External buildings, a healing place and potions.
