By all means they should apply if they have the interest, and their contributions help make up a nice resume. Though Notch did just hire an artist, and is probably in more need of coders if anyone right now.
Also they'd probably have to move to Sweden, if they don't already live there.
This is just a simple idea that I doubt will gain much traction, but I think it'd be really cool to have shoes that could allow you to walk around on clouds. They certainly wouldn't serve any purpose other than the novelty.
I suppose specific mobs could be added that would only appear above the cloud level, so this would be a means of accessing them (besides just finding a big mountain). But that doesn't concern me so much.
There's also the issue of getting back down... I guess you'd have to wait for the cloud to reach a mountain. But I still think it'd be pretty fun. Perhaps the shoes slowly wear down while you walk, so you have to be careful up on a cloud! It'd be interesting to see what new places clouds could take you (though they are pretty slow unfortunately).
