So, I found a really great slime chunk in my world a few months back and dug it out and made it into a slime farm. Now, this slime chunk was spitting out slimes at a pretty decent rate. It was great. However, today I went to harvest some more slimes and didn't get a single slime in over half an hour. Nothing has changed since the last time I was down there. It even was fine after the last update.
Try unplugging your Xbox One from its power supply, give it a bit, then try reloading the game.
I tried this on mine, but it doesn't change anything. I've even uninstalled Minecraft from my Xbox and reinstalled it. Nothing. Something has gone terribly wrong since the last update.
I have been having problems getting chickens to hatch from thrown eggs- I'm talking using (almost) an entire double chest of eggs! The only way to get them to hatch is to exit out of my game and then reload. I will then be able to get one chicken to hatch. Then, if I'm not careful, it'll just disappear. It will be in an enclosure and it will just disappear! This has only started since the new update. Is anyone else having problems like this?
I have over 30 villagers in a self-made village. They have enough doors to bang to their hearts content. There is plenty of space for their golems to generate, but they aren't. Is anyone else having that problem?
Ever since this last console update, I enter my nether portal that I've had since I started my current world and it takes me to a newly generated nether portal in the nether. I go back to my ORIGINAL portal in the nether and it transports me to a randomly generated nether portal in my world. Is this happening to anyone else?

I was pretty sure it's been since the last update, but I might be wrong. Thanks for the information, all the same.

It happens even with a fence and half slabbed floors.

Chickens despawn, as do Slimes. The slimes will spawn in the game and then despawn evwn though I'm close to them.
