posted a message on Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException
    Hello Everyone,

So basically my issue is I am getting the 'Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.timeout.ReadTimeoutException' error, when playing on basically any server. I can usually play on the server for about 5 minutes, then every player stops and I can't type in chat, interact with blocks, etc. Then I disconnect and get that error. I can usually just rejoin that server, play for another 5-10 minutes, then the same thing happens again. I don't seem to get this problem when using a wireless connection, only when using wired. But of course I'd prefer to use wired because of the higher speeds and more reliable connection. My router is a BoB Lite, and I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

I've had this problem/a similar problem to this one for a while now, if anyone manages to fix this for me I can offer some money as a payment, to show my appreication. (If this is against Minecraft Forum Terms or something I apologise, I just want to give people an incenctive to help me with this issue. But of course if this isn't allowed I'll delete this from the thread)

    Any help is appreciated,

    Thanks :)

Same problem for me. I had no mods folder so I created one, I have shaders in the mods folder and forge is working fine, but when I run Minecraft and go into Mods, Minecraft is not recognising that Shaders is there.

In the end the problem was my router. My particular router (others may have the same issue) handled packets or something in a strange way when using wired connection. When using wireless it works fine. I have not yet got a new router, but I might have to soon, using Wireless is getting annoying.

I was going to recommend you a Lenovo y410p or y510p, but it seems they don't stock them in Australia.

    Question: AUD or USD?

    Oh okay, AUD.

    Hello Everyone,

Basically I want a good laptop to play Minecraft on which is within my budget. I already have a decent gaming desktop, but I want a laptop for the portability of it. What do you guys recommend?

I'm looking to spend as little as possible, under $1000. Even under $900 or $800 would be good. I don't mind if it's in "Used" condition. If you find a good eBay listing that's located in Australia please PM me the listing so other people can't purchase it before me! I'd prefer 'Buy Now' rather than bidding. I've mainly been looking at Asus, but any brand is okay. I'd like to be able to play on pretty good settings and record with over 50 FPS, if not that's okay.

    Cheers!

posted a message on KoalaKits :: Kits :: PvP :: Looking for staff
Did I just find an AU PvP Server looking for staff!?! :D

IGN: GunnishoneAge: 15TimeZone: GMT +10Have you donated to ourKitPvP server? No but I probably will if I receive staff rank.
Have you caused trouble and/or been banned? Nope.
Are you able to be on more than 2-3 hours a day? If you averaged out my playtime throughout the week...yes. But I can't spend 2-3 hours on the server everyday on weekdays.
Why should you be ournext T-Mod? Because I'm mature, friendly, semi-experienced. I can get the server more players through my YouTube Channel (Gunnishone) and I will make the server a better place.
Do you have skype / mic so we can talk to you?: Yes, my Skype is: Gunnishone.

I assume you know this but I'll go from the start anyway.

Type 10.1.1.1 in your address bar.
Enter your password (admin by default)
Go to the Handy Tools tab (second from right)
Click 'continue' next to where it says firmware update
    Click this link: https://iihelp.iinet.net.au/support/Router_Firmware?type=hardware
Now click 'previous firmware' next to your router.
I just downloaded the one just before the latest one.
Then you just go back to the firmware upgrade page and upload the version you downloaded.

    I HAVE FIXED THE PROBLEM

I don't want to get too confident yet but I am 98% sure I have fixed it. Turns out you actually can "downgrade" router firmware. I simply downgraded from the 1518 firmware to the previous firmare (1500). I now don't have any issues! Thanks to everyone who tried to help me and thanks spudsrus for sparking this idea!

Well I upgraded firmware, now the wireless devices can't connect :(

So I'm on my laptop and I click on the network, then click connect. It tries to connect then says "Windows was unable to connect to <network name>

I think you're right. I just upgraded to the latest firmware and now none of the wireless devices in my house (laptops, iPad, etc) can connect to the router. I tried connecting the ethernet cable to one of the laptops, and it gets the error. It has something to do with the wired connection from my router.

    My issue is now fixed,
Seems to have been caused by a firmware update on my bob lite 2.
Since you're with iinet might be worth checking with a spare or friends modem/router before you replace your nic.
    =]

Can you please expand on this? You're right, I am with iiNet and I do have a BoB Lite router. How do you get this firmware update?

BTW, I have bought the new NIC and it doesn't change anything, at all.

EDIT: Okay so I've now updated my firmware for my router, still nothing.

This error is the bane of my life, nothing seems to fix it.
