I will to repeat what I said at the another new:
I don't matter if they cross or stop crossing the console platforms with pc, ALWAYS AND WHEN it still being possible to create large and complex mods (of which add the contain of more than ten entire minecrafts or modify the own base system of game) in future versions of minecraft Pc, like now.
I... I need you to restructure that entire statement.

lol alrighty. I've got better things to do with my time than argue over the validity of a farming method on minecraft. I'll give you the win. Later
EDIT - I see that you're very interested and involved in this mods development. I'll be porting a mod I'm overseeing called minefantasy to 1.12 and placing integration for ice and fire into it so keep a lookout for it.

For one, it's not a "limited amount". They come from spawners.
Two, minecraft has infinitely generating worlds so that makes your limited implication even less valid.
So, theoretically you could make a gorgon farm and negate some of the survival aspects of MC. Try harder.

This hits the nail on the head. Yeah, this project is quite lofty in terms of upgrading.
It actually has a lot of custom systems and changes the way you craft tools, weaponry and armor in particular as well as adding weight and slowed movement from different armor types. There's a few systems that are probably going to be bothersome to port over such as the ability to heat metal and hammer it on an anvil in order to make said equipment.
I'd imagine, for lack of a better term, this is going to suck ass. But I'll get it done.
This is the project on Github, if you're curious.

Vazkii would be a perfect candidate. I preferred TC4 over the other versions. But to each their own.
(Before someone says Lost Thaumaturgy, it just ain't cutting it.)

This doesn't change the fact that you can still harvest them and completely avoid some of the survival mechanics of the game. I legitimately hope that doesn't get implemented.

I know of it. The thing is that I find TC2 to be trash and favored TC4 over the rest of the installations. I know that's an unpopular opinion but it is what it is.

Thank you for the bullet points. I'll take a look at the link.

Hey there, guys. I was wondering if there was an in depth explanation and / or guide on moving my mod forward from 1.7.10 to 1.11 or 1.12?
I'm coming back after a long hiatus and have seen that a lot has changed. Thank you!

I wouldn't quite call myself that. I'm more of the guy who gets irritated when quality mods are left stagnant in the water. Lately my biggest annoyance is with thaumcraft. I wish Azanor would just open source it.

I haven't started yet, but it's on my to do list. I'm busy moving Minefantasy 2, Stacks on Stacks and Enderstuff+ to 1.11 and 1.12 first.

Your idea is super unbalanced. If it worked that way everyone would just harvest gorgons instead of foraging for food or craft higher tier tools to kill mobs.

I still personally hope he open sources it.
He's worried about copyright in the case of if he ever returns, but if he wants to retain the rights to the concept of thaumcraft all he has to do is patent it.
There's not much use in keeping the source for a minecraft mod to yourself.
I get that he wants to hold the absolute rights to the actual material and he's completely entitled to that. But like I said before, that's all he has to do.

Oh my god. Did you even bother to read the first post?

Just stop. Lol

He's not interested in open sourcing but may pass the torch to someone else.
