    I think the terrain generation is heading in a good direction again. I'm glad it's finally getting looked at again, at least (although I'm getting really sick of regenerating maps in practically every new update because of these changes).

    I'm sad at how disappointing the 1.8/1.0 terrains have been. I remember being super hyped back in 1.7 because biomes were going to be bigger and more distinctive (because that was the only problem I did have with the old generation code). But then when it finally come out it took maybe a week to realized "no... no this isn't what I wanted."

    As far as the underwater 'patches' of land, I like that clay is way more easier to get, and I always want more sand, but I do agree that it looks fugly as hell. Maybe instead Jeb should code it so that the materials are in wider chunks so the ocean floor isn't as much of a splotchy mess?

    Ugh at this point I probably should just wait for the bugs to be kinked out. As it stands right now it's impossible to get Equivalent Exchange, Sphax's mods, HD textures, and this all working at the same time without one thing hating something else. And even when I do sacrifice enough things to make it load I get the "saving chunks" screen after a few minutes of gameplay.

    Looks like I got all hyped up for nothing orz

    Whenever I try changing a block id on the Aether config it resets itself again as soon as I start up MC. Not sure how to fix that.

    Pretty sure I can get this thing to work with all my mods if I could just rearrange some things (since the other mod it's conflicting with doesn't have any block id configurations, unfortunately >: )


    Edit: Complaint aside, I missed this mod D:

    Are there any plans on making textures for Fancy Pack? (The mod already does use a lot of vanilla textures, but some of it doesn't. Like the road and flags)

    I've noticed this for awhile now but with the lights mod for some reason whenever I put a clay block in the furnace to make the runes it gives me a solid block of bricks instead, not baked clay. I'm not completely sure if this is a bug or maybe it's getting overridden by another mod (although I don't have any that should be doing it), I'm just half curious if anyone else is getting that problem.

    It hasn't been that big of a deal since I can still just go into TMI and convert it afterwards, and it is a nice quick way to get normal bricks, but it still kinda feels like cheating.

    This is probably the wrong place to ask anyway, but are there even any major differences between 1.0 and RC2? (besides bug fixing)

    Glowstone, I love my pretty lights 8D (even though I don't like the default texture of it that much)

    Second or third choice would have to be obsidian and stone bricks.
