I am actually not happy with the update being so close (but that is based off my situation which only some people are experiencing).
Minecraft 1.5.2 runs with about 110 frames per second on my laptop with fancy graphics, smooth lighting on max, and render distance on far while my screen resolution is set to the highest possible resolution. However on the latest snapshots i have to set fast graphics on, smooth lighting off, render distance on tiny while my computer is at the lowest possible screen resolution. I know it has something to do with the new launcher and the graphics card but what gives? Since I play on servers it's not like I have nothing to lose. =/

A t-flip flop would work.
There is a thread on the minecraft forums that shows a few different t-flip flop designs here.
Or you could look up video tutorials for a t-flip flop on youtube.
