I might be completely off but you are basically calling people stupid for liking the new mechanic? It's one thing to dislike a feature but it's another to call someone ignorant and stupid just because they enjoy something.

...and I do hope that you're aware you being able to remove the cooldown, right? I mean servers has been doing this for ages, changing features to make their own little PvP paradise.

No, I'm calling them stupid because they don't understand the pvp mechanics at all.

Mojang wanted to listen to the pvp community because it is a huge part of the game, but they didn't listen to the people who actually know how it all works, they listened to the people from mineplex and all of those big servers that only know how to click and aim.

PvP is much more complicated then clicking and aiming. Click speed doesn't matter, but for some reason, people think that your click speed changes who wins the fight, which it doesn't.

Seeing as the actual flaming over opinions I've seen so far has been at a minimum, I don't think that's quite the case.

That's because the people that are right, their posts get deleted because of how stupid and ignorant everyone else is.

No, I'm pretty sure the ones who know what they're talking about are the ones that actually explain and support their opinion in a way that makes it look like they're not just saying "I don't like change!".

We don't post our opinions because on this forum, it's impossible to put forward a thought without pissing everyone off.

The people who voted no are the ones who actually know what they're talking about sadly...

posted a message on HDD Encryption

So I recently got my new laptop, and I'm going to be bring it to school. But I'd rather not have it be stolen and someone deletes/takes all of my files from the computer and stuff like that.

So what I'm asking is, how do I encrypt my hard drive so that you would need a password or anything of that nature to be able to access it?

Minecraft isn't GPU based OR CPU based. Optifine now utilizes multiple cores. You could probably run SUES v10 shaders at max settings with an i5 and a GTX 970. You also don't need 16GB of RAM.

posted a message on Laptop for school

Our school just started allowing you to bring your laptops to school to take notes on and stuff, and I need a laptop. Unfortunately, my max budget is about $300. I don't really have any specific requirements, just that it is able to handle games like LoL and Minecraft at a reasonable framerate. (ofc, I won't be playing games in school, just in case I go to a friends house with it)

How nicely? Like medium settings at 50 FPS, or high settings at 70 fps?

My friends want's a new computer because the one he has currently is rubbish. Can barley handle minecraft at a stable 20 FPS on the lowest settings. Basically, he wants the cheapest computer possible to be able to run GTA V on high setting with at least a stable 60 FPS. Like I said, no budget, just as cheap as possible. He already has all of his peripherals, so don't worry about that.

posted a message on Minecraft Eula Agreement Is it Going to affect servers?

    Actually, you're all wrong...

The was no "new" EULA. The current EULA has ALWAYS been the same, but never enforced.

As far as Mineplex goes, it's not violating anything. Yes, you can buy in-game currency with real money, but the in-game currency is used to buy cosmetic items.
