A way you could better the houses though is to vary materials more. Using logs, wooden fenceposts and planks, etc in such a large area tends to make the build look more flat and not as interesting. A way around this is to simply change up the colours a bit still keeping within a good palette. What I normally do when I build is I think of a set of colours I will use first and then build with them and varying as I go.
Also in the picture above me, I see the right wall on the blue house is completely flat. You could make it a lot cooler by adding something like a balcony or even line the wall with a contrasting colour to wood such as cobble or stoneslabs, equal in height to the balcony on the front.
I would suggest using both these tips for the entirety of all your houses if you use them though, as doing it to one side of a house or only one house out of the rest of them will make the whole area of the town look a little worse.
edit: remember when choosing new colours to choose ones that look good with both blue and brown for the blue house, and red and brown for the red house. If you dont know how to do this it may be hard to decide at first.
Wow this looks like a great idea for a server! I remember obsessing over Yugioh when I was younger, but I cant remember much of how it works anymore and I never played the game the right way anyway haha.
Since this is a minecraft server, it is possible that you will need some people to build it yes? If so, private message me because I would love to help build something like this.

Maybe its just me, but the exterior walls seem a bit 2 dimensional or flat.
