Put a pumkin on my head and entertain myself for hours with similar things xD

I personally dislike the new beacon system that they are trying to add to the game.
Yes it would be useful for SOME custom maps, but we usually use mods for custom maps etc.
However, the ingame purpose doesn't really exist.
It seems to me that they are ajusting the game to custom maps, with all the beacons, adventure maps etc.
It seems that they are trying too hard to make the game 'like other games', but by that taking out what I at least think of Minecraft as a simple game. It is, well soon was, a game that was different on its own, unique.

All I can suggest is for you to do these steps:
Go to the bin folder of minecraft (windows key+run> run %appdata% > open the .minecraft > open the bin)
Delete the minecraft.jar file
Open the Minecraft launcher , go on options, Update automatically or Force update.
If the game still crashes I would suggest uninstalling the game, and then reinstalling it (don't worry you will still have premium, just be sure to know your Minecraft username and password. Login to Minecraft.net and you should have an option to download it)
If your game still crashes, update Java (google Java update)
If the game still crashes after all this then it could be that the game is crashing due to the operating system. If so, email Mojang with all the information of your computer, Minecraft ingame name, Java version, and all the steps that you have taken to fix the problem yourself.
Hopefully it will help someone that could potentially get the same problem as you!

I agree. The new shapshots take out the feeling of the simple game Minecraft is.
Now I know people will say "But it isn't simple! Duh"
Well it is just getting more complicated with all the updates.
What was once a choice to add to the game with mods is now the game itself, and I am not thrilled by that.
However, one thing that I do like is that you do not have to use it, because it is not an essential to the game.

Changing your ingame name would definitely be helpful, because there are people (like me) who made there ingame name with something stupid and their year of birth.
Or their location, or just something that is plainly stupid/offensive.
But if it was inplemented, it should be free, but maybe only available once or twice, because otherwise it could become a daily occurance.
Also it would probably effect servers and bans that have taken place on them.

For those who don't like cows, yes this is your dream.
But even then, unless you have a very expansive cow farm, leather is very hard to obtain, especially because there is not a 100% chance of a cow dropping a peace of leather.
Making a 'proper' enchantement room is already hard enough, I personally don't think they should change the recipy.
Unless they implement cooking rotten flesh to give leather or somehing like that.
