posted a message on Today we lost a music legend
This morning Jack Bruce, acclaimed bass player, song-writer, singer, and founder and leader of the 1960s supergroup Cream, died of liver disease. A sad loss for the world of music, Bruce pioneered the use of the bass guitar to not just be another part of the rhythm section, but it's own separate instrument with it's own flavor and character. He was truly one of the most influential musicians of the 60s.

My shoe size is around 12½ women's, but considering my height, I guess it's appropriate (I am a bad hair day shy of 6') :P

wow, I guess it is 2014, not 2013.

to everyone wondering about MY shoe size, because I know everyone has been curious for years, it's a 15.

Yeah I don't see a problem with cell-phones or all this new tech in general, but people being glued to them 24/7 is annoying.

It happens all the time, you see people with a group of friends and they're all on their phones and not even socializing. A lot of people are brushing it off but it is an issue. Luckily a lot of people DO realize this is a problem and are making a change, and hopefully the people who do sit on their phones all the time will stop at some point.

If you sit on your phone by yourself, cool. Not a big deal. I think the main issue is that it's making people less social in social situations. That's my two cents.

Besides, if they were really against new fads and tech, then why do they use Hash Tags?

Because hashtags are a feature on twitter that make it easy to spread word around about something.

You can never change your DNA, you will always be whatever gender you were born with, so why become an imitation of the opposite gender? I mean, if having a penis sewn onto you makes you feel better than OK why not. But it just seems silly to me. Recently there was an article about a guy who had surgery to look like a woman but then later decided he wanted to look like a man again. He coulda saved a lot of time and money by just getting therapy to suppress his gender dysphoria, right?

Yeah but dude, like I've said before, it's not a matter of "feeling" like wanting to be the opposite sex. It's literally a chemical imbalance in the brain that causes it. If somebody feels better after dishing out thousands of dollars over a sex change, good for them. It's not hurting anybody else.

Also, making someone like that go to therapy isn't going to do anything for them. That's almost like sending a gay person to therapy and expecting them to like the opposite sex all of a sudden, it's not gonna happen like that.

I have learnt SO much from pokemon, you can't even imagine, so much new vocabulary from black and white and strategy too, such as predicting what other people are going to do. I mean go ahead ban them from GTA and COD but not the helpful games.

So can you seriously say "Pokemon has taught me important life skills"?

Do you think that before the 1900s anyone thought they were born into the wrong gender?

Yes I do, why wouldn't people? It might not be documented that well because it might have been taboo or something to talk about it or bring it up. When have you ever heard of a gay person coming out before then? You don't really, but we know it had to have happened.

Biology has ALWAYS said that it's possible, so unless you want to argue against cold hard facts and science..

EDIT: Yeah just read RedAbsol0's comment, same idea. And Akantares, why do you think therapy should come before surgery? Just wondering.

There's this guy in my grade named Ryan. He's one of "those" kids in my school. He doesn't have much hygiene, watches a lot of anime, and I don't want to be judgmental, but he's a geek.

He does this thing every one in a while where he will dress in a dress and really high heels. He looks like a girl because he also has really long hair. I'm all for people expressing themselves and being whoever they want to be. But in high school (and even in the real world,) it really doesn't help you at all other than maybe your self-confidence.

People make fun of him a lot behind his back and he doesn't have many friends. If he's ok with that then great! But if it bothers him then it's his own fault. Just be careful because it could lead to a lot of teasing or bullying.

    Quote from Akantares »

Really though how is it any different? Both cases are people who think that they're something they're not.

    It is very different.

You are biologically capable of feeling like you aren't supposed to be a certain sex. I think it's because of chemical imbalances in the brain (estrogen v. testosterone etc.) It's something that people can certainly think about themselves because it's biologically possible.

Honestly, before the 2000s, when did anyone ever think they were "supposed" to be an animal? First off, it's not possible at all (according to biology) and second, it's only because these days everyone HAS to be different. It's just a thing now. Everyone wants attention, and not just "attention," they want that kind of attention. They want that kind of attention that arises when you state that you aren't "normal." It's just something that teenagers/young adults do these days. And sorry to say, but it is always the kids who have no social life and sit on their computers all day watching anime and browsing whatever message boards. It's not a biological phenomenon, it's kids wanting attention because all they have is a computer and people they talk to online.

They would be gamers and sue them for the request of the ban.

Yeah I think you should take a class in government or something like that, that would never get to a court.

Look at people like the Westboro Baptist Church or the KKK (more so in past years, not so much these days,) they protest for anti-gay laws or racial discrimination and no one sues them solely for that. It's freedom of speech/assembly. They can request a ban on it if they want.

I hope everyone person on this forum (and on the internet, for that matter) realizes that this is either

    a.) satire

    b.) never going to happen

Go ahead and ban your kids from games, that's a right all parents have. But this twitter page will literally get no where. There is no reason to ban videos games at all. While they're at it, they may as well petition movies and some music as well.

The fact of the matter is that this happens all the time. Back in the mid-1900s, parents didn't like rock 'n roll and I'm pretty sure some parents did get up in arms about it, but nothing happened. It's just not a just reason to ban something. If the government put a ban on video games (which they never would,) they would be putting thousands of people out of work. And for what? Nothing at all.

These moms can keep doing what they're doing, but don't worry kids, nothing will happen.

EDIT: Just a quick question to the original poster, how and why would Youtubers sue these moms?
