Well, this is a bit depressing. For Minecraft mods, this was one of the Great Ones.

    That being said...

... thank you for what you have already done with Thaumcraft.

The current gen from TE alone is insufficient for these other RF-using mods.

If an external mod can take RF, and it needs too much RF, it's the responsibility of that mod's author to tune the power demands. Don't you think?

Might I recommend using something like Mob Spawn Controls? It works for me at least - Mirage Endermen from Special Mobs lag my server hard when they retreat from battle and multiply. I disabled them. I don't see why this wouldn't work for nitro creepers in Natura as well. :) Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Funny thing about that mod is that it didn't work for me just (what? a month?) a while back. I installed what appears to be an updated version just a couple days ago and though I haven't been to the nether I have disabled Hecates from AM2 and it appears to be respecting my config.

I'll visit the nether soon with crossed fingers.

The interesting thing about this: I remember seeing on a direwolf20 multiplayer video mDiyo implied that he doesn't like to have to use other mods to accomplish things in his own (somebody automated his smeltery and he said: "yeah... but... um... is it vanilla?"). And yet, here we are needing to do exactly that because we can't get a config.

Another page, another futile attempt to request:

THE ABILITY TO DISABLE NITRO CREEPERS and any other mob from this specific mod.

I don't want to disable all mobs. I only want to disable the mobs from this mod and this mod alone.

I play it for the trees and berries not the mobs.

Is there any way to disable the creepers in the nether? (I have both TC and Natura... I expect the creepers are added by Natura so I came here - if I'm on the wrong board and somebody still knows the answer, I would love to hear that answer even if I'm in the wrong place)

I still want the mobs down there, just not these red creepers. Tried digging through the config but didn't see anything about disabling mobs. Only other option is to go peaceful and if I don't have to do that, I don't want to.

    edit:

well, I just searched this thread and found out that plenty of people have asked the same question but there is no answer so I'm guessing the author wants these forced on us. It's just weird since everything else is configurable except for this.

I've found two Archmage towers without even looking for them. I find that you discover things more quickly and easily that way. And it's more fun too.

Everybody has a different idea of fun. While many people, I'm sure, agree with your idea of it, I am equally sure that the rest of us have quite a different view.

Exploration is all well and good. But hunting one tower in a world that has no boundaries? No. I explore, set up a base, hunt material as far as I need to go. I don't ever just randomly explore an entire Minecraft world because it bloats my file and my computer simply isn't awesome enough to handle beast saves. This means that I need to hunt the tower; I will never stumble across it by chance (nor have I in the last six worlds I've created).

There is no spell, no other way I ever found, to track down that tower outside of NBTE. The *one* method that people agree on? Does not work for me. Either the spell simply doesn't cause the stupid wisp to lead me anywhere, or there are no wisps to use the spell on.

I adore this mod. I can't play without it. What I CAN play without though? Is the hunt for the Archmage Tower. I would love it if there were some other solution that didn't involve cheating, but I haven't found one. This is why I hope things will change in AM2.

Random = frustrating. Frustrating != good. Minecraft = an experience.

The less frustrating an experience is, the better.
