Quick note for those with this problem: DO NOT PANIC YET. TRY YOUR WORLD IN SINGLE PLAYER.

I am having this problem too. My world is not corrupt. It loads up fine anywhere apart from a v1.5 server.

Take a look at the Survival Single Player board and you'll notice that it's the same threads repeated day after day after day after day on page 1. It gets boring fast. I went over there now just to prove my point:

"My Piggy friend" - A thread about a trapped animal!
"Noobcake labs (cannon science)" - Always bumped up but never stickied!
"Rationale for Trash Can/Incinerators" - Discussion: Why would you want to destroy your stuff?!
"Entrances/Doorways" - This is how I build X! How do you build X?!
"Smallest Working Mob Trap" - Another freaking thread about Mob Traps!
"Working CPU with RAM, branching, etc... (save added)" - Always bumped up but never stickied! Been done 10 times before!
"So, bases right? Floating :biggrin.gif: (image heavy) (DONE)" - I couldn't find the Official Alpha - Survival Picture Thread!
"4 large chests of cobblestone and someone who wants to build" - What should I build with X?!
"discuss your most tragic death in minecraft." - I'm sure this hasn't been done before!
"Blowdarts, gliders, and More!" - I couldn't find the suggestions forum!
"Mobster Trapping" - Another freaking thread about mob traps! Should've been in the Support forum! OP complaining about lack of responses and shamelessly bumping!
"Roof Construction" - How do I build X? Also, I couldn't find the support forum! I'm also going to complain about lack of responses!
"crafting ideas (please update)" - Another guy can't find the suggestion board!
"Betas coming" - Another thread that thinks nobody knows about Notch's blog!
"Write a program to run on my minecraft computer!(save is up)" - Another thread about a minecraft computer! Constantly bumped!
"Free Copy of MineCraft in 15 Minutes" - Spam thread, locked by mods!
"Wierd alpha glitch?" - I couldn't find the Support forum!
"What to build in minecraft!" - Sigh... Do I really have to comment? God i'm only half way down and all but 2 so far have been god awful. Okay, okay, let's do this. I said i'd do the whole 1st page and i'm gonna.
"New texture pack!!!" - I couldn't find the mods forum!
"My posh snow house, suggestions needed." - I couldn't find the pictures thread!
"Starting area" - Another pointless question asked 100 times before! Doesn't know what the search function is!
"Do we really need a near infinite size world?" - Do we really need another thread for the same question?
"One of my saves are lagging horribly." - Suppporrrtttt forummsmsmsfjsndfjsfnisgn
"My house/Contract work" - I also couldn't find the Official Picture Thread!
"Ever seen a giant? I just did." - Either it's a photoshop (more likely) or a game feature (which means there's going to be another 800 threads about this).
"Why Not Kill Yourself?" - 2threads1question
"Rooms in your Minecraft base." - This thread is giving me a 502 Bad Gateway error for some reason, but by the name, been done before.
"forest spontaneous combustion?" - Another guy's forest ends up on fire, thinks he needs to tell everyone.
"New design : Sky monster-trap, 75x75 lots of items/hour" - Another freaking mob trap!
"Types of Players (Poll)" - Pointless Poller
"Linux, or not to Linux?" - Gee, I wonder if this has been asked before? Too bad there's no such thing as a search function.
"The mine of death?" - 26 words in the OP, all about himself. As they say on the SSP forum, "This is not twitter".
"Huge project: Minetopia (image heavy)" - I also can't find the Official Pictures thread!
"scary texture pack?" - Gee, I wonder if there's a forum here that has a lot of texture packs? I wonder if there's any way to search for the texture pack I want?
"Monument World" Progress Thread" - lol picture thread etc etc
"Red Nights and Invisible Blocks" - SUPPORT FORUMS!!!

The actual interesting threads I found on page 1:
"Minecraft Fanmade Trailer v2" - Mind you in 20 days this will still be on the 1st page.
"Aesthetically Pleasing Homes/Buildings" - Always bumped up, but has nice, refreshing ideas. Should be stickied.
"Notch is getting Boned by PayPal" - Big thread, much rage, but brought something interesting to my attention. Locked by mods.
"The Art of War" - A very well thought out thread on the possibility of wars in Minecraft. Constantly bumped, but probably deserves it.
"Breny's Official Video Thread (40+ Tutorials & More.)" - This guy actually has some pretty cool tutorials.
"Entering... The hyper super cool PAZOWexccv backup" - Actually a pretty cool backup batch file. Probably should be in the mods forum, though.
"Let's play minecraft drunk new series" - Interesting, unique idea! Too bad it's about to be copied 8 billion times.
"Minecraft Transit Authority" - Yeah, another clone thread, but really improving on the Minecraft Subway Station idea.

THANK GOD THAT IS OVER. I am never going to the SSP forums again. That was gutwrenchingly horrible.

As someone who has previously run a gaming server (not minecraft), I would've taken the same action. People who harrass and grief others get an IP ban so they can't come on a different account and do it again, it's that simple.

And look at it from the admin's point of view, "it was my brother/cousin/dog please let me back" is one of the oldest tricks in the book. Official gaming companies don't take that excuse, so why would/should we?

As an ex World of Warcraft player who relied heavily on Curse for news and addons I very much approve of this move.

Also as a respected officer of a mature, friendly social guild on WoW full of normal, hard working people (of which I will be returning to come Cataclysm) I do take offense to the 12-year old asshat stereotyping.

It's funny, the only reason anyone has any tolerance for this is because it's an indie game developer.

Admit it, if you couldn't log in to an EA game or something because their verification server was down you'd be screaming bloody murder.

WASD for First Person Shooters, Action RPGs, etc
Arrow Keys for Driving Games and a few others.

Back in the days of classic Unreal Tournament I used only the mouse (right click to walk forward, point to turn) for movement o_O Feels weird now.

Short Answer: Notch doesn't run this forum.

Yeah I don't really like 13.ogg much, but I really like .

Do you ever lag?: I never lag on normal distance, average 40-50FPS

I did this quick coloration to the Painterly iron armor to make obsidian armor look more painterly-ish. Without it, even with updated sprites your armor will look like standard minecraft armor.

If anyone else has any requests for armor sets they want me to obsidian-ize then feel free to ask.

To install:
Save the images with the names given above.
Go to %appdata% > .minecraft > bin > minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar with WinRAR or something similar.
Open the "armor" folder in minecraft.jar
Put the images in.

Here's what it looks like in-game:

I dunno if you can still do it after the update, but you can force super speed by hitting esc, putting your system clock forward two years (or more, depending on your computer) and then going back into minecraft and unpausing it.

WHY ISN'T NOTCH BUILDING THE GAME FOR HOW I PLAY IT? MY WAY OF PLAYING MINECRAFT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN ANYONE ELSES FIX IT OR I WILL COMPLAIN ON THE FORUMS

Seriously though, how do people not realize nor acknowledge that the 537,352 other people who bought the game might want something different than you?
