Any way to allow for a fuel burn time "multiplier" in the properties file (or a plaintext config file)? I don't know if it's just not recognizing the item or what, but I'm getting maybe thirty seconds of powered flight out of a Nethercoal from Better Than Wolves. That's a little too hungry for my taste. (FWIW the "descend" key didn't seem to be doing anything either, so maybe it's just a mod conflict?)
Other than that, thanks - I had the Planes mod before, but the airspeed on those things is such that 1) it completely kills exploration in SSP, and 2) the terrain generation can't keep up and inevitably crashes Minecraft within a few minutes. Your Airship allows me to get around mountainous terrain without breaking the feel of the game.
Quick question - are the towers supposed to destruct entirely? I ask because the one I just beat - my first - only crumbled to about halfway down (and even then one side wall of the upper levels is mostly intact). That's a lot of manual cleanup if I don't want the ruin there forever...
Still, awesome mod - thanks for the update, and thank you for adding some much-needed new features. Great fun. :smile.gif:
As to the requests for a bomber, it'd be nice if there were a button to eject preactivated blocks in general; besides bombing, this would allow for dispensing flares/torches for marking purposes (as I was wishing for earlier as I scouted around in my plane) and would also make it easy to, say, build up a base for a man-made island in the ocean, or easily seed an area with saplings from the air, etc.
What you need young man is the proper attire to go with that amazing craft.
Kudos for the skins, both player and plane! I'm going to try making a plane skin for myself, but if it doesn't go well I'll probably be back here begging you or someone else to do it for me. :smile.gif:
Also, thanks to jamioflan for making this mod; I was flattening out a huge bluff overlooking the ocean sunset on my SMP server a few weeks ago and thinking to myself that all I was missing was a little runway and a small plane to go up and meet the sunrise in. I actually like the idyllic speed; faster would be nice sometimes, but then that's what having multiple plane types is for! Can't wait to see where this goes.
With this latest version, transparency on things like torches and flowers seems to be borked - the background transparency is just barely so, which has the effect of making any block with a torch (or flower, etc.) on the realtime map effectively pure white. Intentional, and/or is this an issue on my end?
Edit: The only thing I've done differently for this version is run mcpatcher to enable Painterly's custom water.
Whenever I shoot arrows in the Nether, the game instacrashes. I'm using normal arrows but have Elemental Arrows installed, so I imagine that is what's causing the problem. I'll test and report back.
Edit: Yup. Just downloaded a virgin jar and loaded up all my mods and textures except for Elemental Arrows. No Nether crashes.
And here the unsuspecting viewer might think it was your failure to read the thread or your lack of basic computer literacy that was causing your problems. Thanks for clearing that up for us.
Mainly, I just wanted fences; the ladders were just a "well, while I'm making requests..." thing. I rarely use them either, but honestly, I think that if fence/ladder output were boosted by Notch they'd both get a lot more use in general; they're way too resource-intensive to make for what you get (and the ease with which you can construct alternatives, like waterfalls or cobblestone walls).
One stick will produce four torches, four arrows or sixteen(!) minecart tracks in the vanilla system - it doesn't seem unreasonable to up the output for these as well.
Give that a try, should work, did when i just tested it anyway.
Confirmed working, thanks so much. You should start a thread and reap the glory now!
I didn't want to resort to a crafting mod because Obsidian Tools uses a, uh, modded ModLoader which apparently invalidates most recipe mods at the moment.
Fences and ladders require pretty ridiculous amounts of material to make in any quantity. I'd appreciate it if someone could whip up a quick mod that changes the crafting output from one fence/ladder to four... would make it much more bearable.

Question: if I enable biome-specific trees, will my existing maps be recalculated entirely or will it only apply on newly-generated chunks?

And I believe I meant that if he's going to take that point of view, he may as well stay the **** out of the modding section.

If you're going to troll, why not just call me a homosexual Nazi griefer virgin and get it over with?

My tree farm thanks you in advance.
