That is a pretty good mod. But I would really like to see it in the game. Kinda tired of downloading and placing mods. Especially for things that should be pretty standard. Also noticed he didn't have anything for snowy areas or desserts. Just pretty much grasslands and forests. All in all its still a good mod.
Voted yes. Hard to say no, especially if you'd have the option of turning them off.
Yea I know. Other games have ambient volume control. Why shouldn't minecraft have its own ambient noises with a volume control. We already have sounds and music separated. Shouldn't have to sacrifice all noise.
I think we should get ambient noises for certain situations. Forests during the day could have cicadas, night time we might here crickets (except for desserts and snow biomes), desserts and grassy plains can have wind. Beaches would have water crashing onto the shore. There could be an option in the menu to control ambient volume.
Ambient noises could help remove the idea of being completely alone in a world. Standing in a grass flatland with no noise except for you walking on dirt and grass is kinda.... depressing lol. I think ambient noises would help aleviate this.
Anyone elses thoughts?
Edit: I'm going to list different types of ambient noises and what types of places could have them
Crickets: Plains, Forests, Mountains. Time: Night
Frogs: Swamps, and jungles. Time: Day/Night
Owls: Taigas(possibly) Forests. Time: Night
Crashing water: Beaches. Time: Day/Night
Bubbling lava: Any where that has lava. Time: Day/Night
Wind: Desserts, Grasslands, Mountains (possibly). Time: Day, maybe night
Cicadas: Forests, Mountains(possibly). Time: Day
Dripping water: Caves, Tunnels, Abandoned Mineshafts. Time: Day/Night
Wolves Howling: Forests, Mountains, Taigas. Time: Night
I'll keep adding for people who can think of any others I didn't come up with.
I like the idea of them only being seen inside the swamp. Swamps would feel more natural for them. Give a nice creepy aspect to swamps with graveyards over run by the living dead.
yea because endermen and enderdragons make a whole lot of sense 2 right?
Think about it. A small area fenced in with iron bars and cobblestone mausoleums. Crypts that go underground that can be explored. And at the bottom of crypts you can find an altar that can be used to summon a boss. Yea i get it. The whole altar thing seems kind modish. But don't knock the whole idea for it. I mean we place ender pearls in a portal to go "the end" to kill a dragon. Its not like theres a worlds difference here.
Plus we already have skeletons and zombies in the game. Zombie pigmen roam the entire nether all the time. Endermen own the entire end game. Whats wrong giving a place to skeletons and zombies?
You can't say something doesn't fit in minecraft, because minecraft is everything.
Bah mods. Im tired of mods.I know graveyards have been asked for before. But there are a lot of people that would like to see them. And I don't think anyones even taken up the challenge to make a mod for such a thing yet. Which is kind of surprising.
Graveyards that house crypts filled with skeletons and zombies. And an altar that can be used to summon a zombie or skeleton boss, by sacrificing bones or rotten flesh.
Well from what it seems the community wants some major changes to the game. And by changes i mean fixes. Because nothing is broken really, it just needs purpose or to be taken back to when it was good *cough* terrain rendering *cough*
Mojang i think your flaws have been braught to the surface. Stop adding things and finish what you started.
So, lets get some ideas and opinions from people now that we've had time to try the fully released minecraft.
Everyone has had their QQs and Rants about it for awhile now. While others have full-heartedly defended the game thinking its perfect. Minus any content added later. But for every Person who loves it, it seems theres 5 others who are upset with new changes.
Some changes such as the animal and terrain generators have people upset that everything is bland (i agree on part of this). Others say the generation is perfect the way it is and that it doesn't need changing.
Some biomes seem so small while others are out right huge!!! I have yet to find a mushroom biome myself which im kinda dissapointed in. Is the terrain blending worse than it was before?
A lot of people think the games been flattened out. I have definitly seen my fair share of flatlands and swamps now. I haven't seen mountinous areas for about a week now.
Mineshafts were an awesome idea when we heard about them and so were the chasms but now regular tunnels seem to be on the verge of extinction while these chasms and mineshafts are the baine of our existence. The number of mineshafts i find connected to a chasm is ungodly. I have yet to find a single normal tunnel that didnt leave me in a twisting hell hole to die by creepers bugging into the side of some wood.
Lets see what everyone thinks so far about the fully released Minecraft. Is the game perfect as is? Or does it need some important changes?
So your saying that my last world which looked like the edge of every island had been cut with a nice so they were clean flat surfaces and the caves had views of the ocean that didn't spill were normal? i dont think so the new generation is my least favorite so far.
i agree, i would like to build a home in a mountain again like the first one i made. but there aren't anymore canyons. as a matter of fact all i find are barren plains forests and swamps. the snow biomes suck now grass is all over the place and im seriously lacking animals. For some reason creepers have increased in spawn rate out a godly proportion. And my food source has been rendered to finding whole new biomes just to find food. I ll find 80 cows in a spot and they won't spawn ever again in that area. Its like im killing the entire planet off one animal at a time. And sheep are rare as diamonds 2 me now. WTH IS GOING ON!!!
