Some Feedback on those changes in BITLY please? Please?

I guess my problem with most of Bitly is that the colors are too similar to default. With 8x8, there is not much room for design, so the only thing you really have left is color. When it's basically the same as default, it's not very appealing.

This took over an hour, but I'm happy with it.

Considering I'm used to working with 16x now, I don't think I did too bad.

I really like the non mossy version. However, the way the moss is now makes it look messy and improperly shaded.

Well, I made side-grass and dirt. (tiled 2x2) I'm going for some kind of extraterrestrial theme. Using SiikiKala's palette

I accidentally destroyed my most treasured world by playing it on alpha... .-. That's what I get for not making backups I suppose.

Lemon, here's the real terrain.png from alpha 1.2.6

    Planks (tiled 4x)

I like the grain of the planks, but there are some areas where I think the contrast between the lightest color and the 3rd lightest color should be softened with a middle shade.

1.2.6 alpha has forced grass biome shading, even with the grasscolor.png all white...

The only thing that my mind doesn't comprehend is....if the materials are too alike, why bother with variation at all? As for the lighting, it's all the same, 120 degrees, but I will look to see if I can see what you're seeing. If anything I'll make the stone a little darker to see if that looks better.

I wasn't talking about the lighting on your door, I was replying to 13thMurder's post about his sunflower.

Started on the sunflowers. I happen to think sunflowers are hideous so i'm going with something completely different. Tiny windmills...

There will be a few different variants. I'm going to see i can link the stalks, but let the heads randomize. It might work, or it might not. Anyway, here's the first one.

    I really like this idea!

However the way the shading in the middle turns with the rest of it makes no sense, the light direction should be consistent.

At least make the metal copper?

    On another note:

This is my first attempt at remaking my doors:

To me the meterials are just too different, and it gives it a surreal look.

    As you should.

    More sand.

I'm really happy with it now :D

Looks much better, but the transition from light to dark is really harsh now. It would look better with some anti-aliasing.

    For example:

    Where can you find \textures?

Go to the "versions" folder which is found in .minecraft, and find the version you're using. (It's probably 1.7.4) Then, go into that folder and look in that .jar file of the same name.

Once you're in the .jar file, textures is in
    assets > minecraft > textures

There isnt any minecraft.jar in my bin folder , only backup and inside there is a folder called temp and there is nothing in it .

The post before you was almost two years ago.

The file structure has changed. Instead of looking in bin, go to the "versions" folder and find the version you're using. (It's probably 1.7.4) Then, go into that folder and look in that .jar file of the same name.

Once you're in the .jar file, go to
    assets > minecraft > textures > entity
and you should find "steve.png" Change this file to whatever skin you want, and it'll show up on offline mode.
