I can understand that. I use to mod for Starbound and dropped off that community when college homework and life got to stressful for me.
I also want to apologize for the use of profanity in my previous statement on your forum, I got hit with a warning for that and I rightly deserved it even though I think they where a little over zellus with their editing.
As far as Tails goes and the rendering hooks. As a temporary fix if forge doesnt come with a hook for you, you could release the mod with out the child models, or a split off from the mod that only does genders. Outside of that I cant help much unfortantly.
I just installed smart moving with my 1.7.10 at the request of one of my friends. Iv been reading all the issues and compatability problems that exist between your gender mod and smart move.
Considering that the author of the Smart move mod doesnt seem to want to fix this issue, Have you considered rewriting the mod a bit to include the fix youve mentioned and releasing it as a optional add on/patch to your gender mod?
I dont think he would have an issue with it as long as you credited him for the patch to the mod.
I would do it myself, but im so pittifuly inept with modding I can hardly get skins and resource packs to work right.
The generic steel (not shadow steel or anything like that) is showing a default missing textures, texture. The recipe's involved are 8 reeds > refined iron ingot (Industrial craft 2), 8 reeds > steel ingot (railcraft, immersive engineering, tinkers' construct, metallurgy 4, solar expansion, & Mekanism). I attempted to fix this myself though a resource pack by adding a texture file called "oreGrowableSteel" but it was unsuccessful. There is also no texture in the Jar file either as far as I can tell.
All the Hexorium reeds from hexcraft are missing any sort of detailing coloration or texture at all and look like a blank ore reed texture. I was also unable to locate any texture for Hexorium reeds in the Jar file.
I dont mean to be annoying or anything but any hope of an update for this mod? Buildcraft and Industrial craft have moved on to 1.7.# if not 1.8.# now and we havent seen Liquid energy even hit 1.6.#. I hope you update this, was always my favorite mod.

Hello, I downloaded the latest version of geostrata to upgrade the mod pack when I saw more blocks on your site. I have a small question reguarding the opal set of blocks. How/can you control what color they are or get them to change color on differnt aspects of the game instead of just cordinates (I think). Id love to have them change color with time of day or light exposure.
Alright I tried MCreator, I made a model for a new block in Techne, after watching a few videos and downloading eclipse to make and modify Java files to add the new model as a renderable model I got lost very very quickly. I have no idea what I am doing in the environment and trying to follow videos past creating the model itself.
Even if I got the model into minecraft I am unsure of how to get it into MCreator, if even possible in the first place, to complete making the mod. Considering it is the only block with a custom model this should be the only part I need help on with MCreator able to add normal blocks, liquids, and even custom modeled Mobs.
Very little, most of my scripting and coding knowledge lies in VB script and C++. I am a quick learner how ever and I figured alot of the code we would be using would be similar to VB script where I can "copy/paste" chunks of code and change reference variables/names and the code will work. for example
Combustion engine runs off oil, fuel and water
my engine runs off my fuel and water.
only difference would be the visual block used, and the fuel type.
Though I am not famiure with minecrafts code system so Im not 100% that woudl work, which is why Im looking for a guide/tutor.
I am attempting to make a mod but I have had no experience modding minecraft other then installing the mods other people have made. So I would like to meet up with some one who is comfortable talking over skype, yahoo, or some other messenger/chat system, that is also willing to help walk me though the process of making a mod. I have a solid idea (I hope) in mind, how ever parts will require buildcraft knowledge.
The mod when complete, hopefully, will include:
3 new trees, 12 new blocks, 15 new tools, 18 items (objects you can hold in your hand or place in a chests), 3 liquids (buildcraft synergy), 2 new suits of armor (8 individual items), and 1 new tameable NPC/mob.
I am withholding details, how ever if you are a strategy game fan and enjoy games such as age of empires, command and conquer, supreme commander and the like, you will either know of the content of this mod when I speak with you privately and possibly enjoy working on it.
As far as my availability goes, I live on the west coast USA (Pacific standard time) and am normally up between the hours of 8am and 3am every day. I am currently unemployed and not going to college so I am home all day. the unemployed status is subject to change any day, I have been submitting applications and am actively looking for a job, full or part time, not graveyard if I can help it.

@GaleHarvest the reflection on the redstone is exactly what im looking for if you can add a color to it so its not just white. do you know if theres a tutorial or anything that shows you how to add effects like that?

I though of this after going to bed last night and after I posted this. Theres another mod out there that does a similar thing to yours that isnt broken by Smart Move, Its called Tails.

They might have a fix you can do on your side with out rewriting his mod to remove the incompatability.
