at least i know now, it won't screw up the mod, good thing i just installed notepad ++, now i can change the file and use big bertha or the royal guardian sword like it supposed to, yet it seems to be harder than i thought, but hopefully i can use this to change targeting for utility mobs to not attack me.
depends on what you switch unless its not like going into the files of the mod itself, besides using big bertha is more like to kill the beefiest bosses in the mod like mobzilla or the king or even the kraken, which getting a weapon that takes loads of materials to craft is not worth it with bad damage, i would just stick with weak weapons that will do the same damage with the negation, but if i have to edit the config file, then i will.
certain things i might edit might screw up certain things like making bosses invincible or not moving, besides it gives more of a challenge which some things is good but bad like if i get big bertha from ore spawn then it has negation in power and the weapon is hardcore to craft.
certain weapons i use get negated in power, yet i don't edit the config, if i do certain things might break and corrupt the game, and i tend to stay away from corruption, and it might be harder than a simple thing to change, it might be an error causing negation in power.
if he is going to fix he should fix the bug where the power of weapons decrease and make the power of the weapons be the same as they are supposed to be.
everything is best the way it is, if i change certain things it might totally mess up, and that is never good on hard to find modpacks on curse, however some reason on nevermine, using weapons normally much more powerful are less powerful than normal, which sucks with weapons over 500 damage.
i keep everything how it is, i keep the config file the way it is, but if someone wants to two shot any boss they want then they can, at least ore spawn has a safeguard to prevent being overpowered by mid game weaponry, so then killing the king or queen will still be incredibly difficult.

the crash report does say which mod causes problems, but then some modpacks have problems with the mod itself, and i have to find what mod it is incompatible with to use it, besides when i used the last sword you will ever need mod which normally does instant-kill but it only did 25 damage, and orespawn has a safeguard to prevent instant kill on the bosses.
The mod is good and all, but all mobs will most likely crash the game, why don't you do it to some modded mobs instead of every single one, it crashed my game constantly when i killed a spider pig from mutant creatures, and it might happen to a whole lot of other mobs, yet you will have more time if you do it on some and maybe people can recommend certain mobs in mods so it will be much easier.

man this looks amazing, but i wish it could be added to curse as an actual installation to use in other modpacks besides ftb departed.

why don't you add this to curse, it would be much more fun to have this with other amazing modpacks.
