I gave my Minecraft 6GB to run on. You can make it lower, but 6 worked for me the best. Leave at least 1-4 GB of RAM for the other stuff on your computer. You're actually supposed to put half the amount, so 8192/2=4096. But, having 6 doesn't conflict with anything for me. Save this as minecraft.bat or whatever name you want. IT HAS TO HAVE .BAT. You should have a file with two gears on it. Open it and it should launch Minecraft with more RAM.
If that doesn't work, try uninstalling Java and install the latest version. Then do what I just said above.

Are you playing single player or multiplayer? That problem often occurs in multiplayer. It's "connection lag", at least that's what I call it. Everything is slow and a second behind, whatever it does.
That may be the server's fault. I screwed up some files in my server files and I had a similar problem. But, I ended up fixing it after a good 2 hours.
I made my own PaperCraft before, and I used ALOT of glue, I didn't cut nicely, and I don't fold paper nicely either. But, it turned out great afterwards. I'll try, but my printer currently doesn't have color ink.

Is your server offline? Not like off off, but like offline, I think for cracked clients.
Nevermind, I think they fixed it.

Yeah, like 10 minutes ago, I believe. Hopefully, you'll be able to pay your taxes, haha. Mojang is fixing it, by the way.

Alright, so I was trying to get in a server called "Mineverse". If you want to see it for yourself, ip is:
mineverse.com
Anyways, I get this error when I try to get in:
What does this even mean?
Edit:
Just found this on help.mojang.com:
What does that mean? Sorry, I don't really understand this weird error talk.

Put in the text below.
It should look like this:
javaw -Xmx8192m -Xms6144m -jar "C:\Users\X\Desktop\Minecraft.exe"
That is what I put for my .bat file.
Replace "X" with the name of your computer.

It's that simple..?

Before closing the prompt, please do "save-all" in the console or "/save-all" in game. This way, your blocks and buildings will be saved.
About your old world, have you backed it up? If so, just delete the world you don't want and drag in that world file back in.

Is this also a way of keeping a server up 24/7?
