LOL, I dug up half the sand on my shoreline just so I could build a creepy staircase going all the way down to the bedrock, then built a huge underground sandstone room and at the end of it is the portal..though I never use it and never go down there!

I have 10 diamond shovels in a chest, they don't last me that long, sand don't shovel itself!
Exactly how much do you have on the continent? I pretty much travel with nothing else than a few building tools for a house, and some pickaxes. I'm nomadic, that's just me.
Well, consider how much sand I pulled out of that quarry(it extends left twice as far), all used to make sandstone, that's how big the underground temple is that I built nearby, along with 2 full doublechests of dirt that I used to make a manmade volcano just offshore, along with various buildings standing outside the temple such as forge, storehouse(3 stories) and a huge fenced in area for crops.
What do you DO when you go nomadic though? I would think it would get boring after a while.
Got too much built on the continent to pack up and leave, so I went with the thickest forest I could make, replaced the sand wall with cobblestone and installed the watermoss mod so it turned the top few layers of the wall to mossstone...behold!

Anyways, now I want this eyesore off my continent and can't figure out what to do with that area, I'm sure others have extensive mine systems and quarry's that they wish were out of sight and out of minD, but maybe there's a better way. So please, toss out your ideas to help reclaim this land!
