I'm making a map similar to Portal, except it uses a 'Minecraft Science Handheld Teleportation Device' instead of a portal gun. In other words, instead of portals, you teleport. However, there's a problem. I want to have certain surfaces that the player can NOT teleport to if their arrow lands on them. How would I do this? I tried testing if the arrow is in the ground, and if it is, than it tests what block its in. I used
Basically, whenever I put minecraft in fullscreen mode, the mouse doesn't lock onto the crosshair. In other words, I am unable to look around. Whenever I click, whether it be left or right, the game immediately goes back to windowed mode. Help...?
I'm using Optifine. I don't know if that affects too much.
I'm trying to make a TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) in Minecraft. However, I can't figure out how to do the coordinate traveling. In other words, I want the player to enter the coordinates of choice in the chat, or in a command block, or something. Then, the system reads the coordinates and creates a TARDIS there, unto which the player will teleport to when they exit the interior design. Any thoughts?
They attack you and you cannot destroy them. I know this is still a WIP mod but I just don't see any usefulness in them at the moment
Well, you can attack them, it's just difficult for some reason. You have to hit them at the base of their tread. Also, it's somewhat weak at the moment. And the usefulness...? I'm not really sure, honestly. Experience, maybe. Honestly, I have no idea
I say the Baby Zombies are the most annoying. They run faster and catch you off guard. Plus they never burn in sunlight so that can also catch you off guard when your walking around during the day
The not obvious part - the important distances:
1 - Player must stand while farming 128+ blocks away from any other spawnable surface.
2 - Player must stand while farming 24-32 blocks away from the spawnable surface in monster spawner.
3 - Have monsters drop 18-22 blocks from the spawning area surface if you want to kill them yourself.
1 is IMPORTANT (if you want more than a trickle of mobs in your spawner.)
2, the mobs can spawn further away if you think of some way to push them around or take advantage of the fact that they move around a little bit when first spawned.
The rest is not too hard to figure out and there are lots of videos.
There is a bug in 1.7.x such that some people don't get any mobs spawning until they change their chunk render distance. Try 2 or 8 or 10 chunks in video settings.
Monster spawn rates will be low on a server if there are people on the server who are around other hostile mobs (the mob cap is shared.)
Hm... I would like to know, if I cover the ground with torches stretching 128 blocks away from the spawner in both directions, will it prevent mobs from spawning in those areas? Also, are they prevented from spawning near my spawn area?
Hey guys. I've been working on a survival world for a few days, and I eventually decided to make a mob grinder. The problem was, I used almost all of my resources making this, just to find out that it won't work! I need some suggestions for good XP farms. Before you even suggest one, PLEASE DO NOT suggest any that utilize these:
Hm... I haven't gotten around to the installation because I wasn't having problems for a while. It was fine. Then, out of nowhere, this happens:
I am just as clueless as everyone else. I have the latest driver, updated and everything. These graphical problems are getting more severe each time I play. I don't have admin permission, seeing as though I forgot my administrator password, so I can't do the installation... I am so angry right now.

execute @e[type=Arrow] ~ ~ ~ testforblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:clay
However, it doesn't work. It says 'failed to execute [insertcommandhere] as arrow'
Is it not finding the block?
