hey guys...is there anyway to have a different sound file for the wither skeleton?
cause ya know a robot coughing and yawning does not compute lol
nope, because the wither skeleton does not any have unigue sound files of its own and uses the skeletons files instead
and that is problem that I have to put up with when applying sounds

that's what I was thinkingQuote from AtikLYar
Samsam actually switched the current wool textures over to the Hardened Clay iirc (Since it makes sense that you break machines with a pick and such.) And then used the wool textures from the Customizer to make the carpets work.

Alright so I've been changing the custom sound pack around a little bit lately, and I've put it up for upload. As I was using it, I noticed some of the sounds were very odd and just didn't work all too well. So I'll put the changes below and you can briefly read over it. It sounds much better after just a few changes. Make sure to download an audio mod (preferably audiotori) to use it! With audiotori, drop the extracted folder called "resources2" and put it in your .minecraft/audiotori folder. Then, when in-game, press f9 to bring up the soundpack menu, and make sure it is enabled. For mod installation, I use Magic Launcher, as it doesn't mess with your Minecraft files and it's as easy as activating the mod and clicking the launch button.
-Change ice and glass breaking sounds back to vanilla. The sounds from Last Days Sound Pack made a metal clanging sound when breaking it, which made no sense to me at all. Your glass and ice now sound like shatters.
-Stepping on stone/ice/glass or any other block that uses the stone step sound now sounds like a solid step again, not like stepping on a gravely pile of junk
-Changed skeleton step sounds. The Last Days Pack had vanilla step sounds for the skeleton. So although skeletons were bandits, you'd still here the "rattling" of bones when they stepped or walked. They now sound normal.
-Changed a lot of the music discs. In the last days lore, the technology is superior and advanced, but the culture is way behind as far as advancement goes. There were already lots of 40's music/big band songs (what people refer to as Fallout 3 music) on the music discs, but some of those songs did not sound very good to me. There were also 2 discs with these audio recordings, and another disc with a random song of a total different genre that shouldn't exist in the last days universe. I changed all the music discs to 40's/big band music (and yes, some of those are from Fallout 3).
I hope you like the changes. I think they were improvements, and I think you'll like them too.
what do you think your doing!? going off and changing the sound pack without telling me
the sounds are fine as they are, all we have to is fill in the gaps left behind by the previous sound man! pm me XThatsMyCakeX and I'll explain in further detail

UPDATE: The new 1.5.2 soundpack works! and even better, with audiotori! Thank you so much Gizka for the work, I feel you deserve more appreciation! I imagine it was probably because audiotori didn't like older versions of sound packs, or something along those lines. Audiotori seemed to be the only audio mod out there whenever I looked, so I'm glad it's working with that now.
cheers, so did you have to anything to the pack to fix it? or was my attempt good enough?

Can someone please help me? I'm desperate, as the community I'm working for is launching a server soon using this texture pack and (hopefully) the sound pack as well, but I can't seem to get the sound pack to work! I've used audiotori as it was the only working audio mod when I was looking (there may be another one out there now) and had no luck with getting the custom sounds to work. I see the folders and I've played the custom sounds, so I know they're all there and work. The problem seems to be actually getting them to work in-game. I'm also using Magic Launcher if that makes a difference. Audiotori is correctly installed. Audiotori doesn't recognize .rar, so I just extracted the soundpack and tried enabling the "Last Days SP 1.4.7" folder. That didn't work, so I copied the contents of the "Last Days SP 1.4.7" folder and pasted them into the Audiotori folder. That did not work either. Is there another sound enabler I should use?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
hey there, I'm the one who updates the sound pack, you're right Auditori does seem to have issues with the pack and I'm working on figuring out what the problem is, I don't seem to know any other sound mod enablers out there but if you find something let me know

How do I install the sound pack?

Anything made after 1.4 (included) is compatible with Audiotori
I haven't checked if yours work though.
Feel free to download the example sound packs to check the folder structure
I've just looked at the example sound packs and seems that audiotori cannot read .rar files at all, it can detect .zip files but they will not function unless they have that info.cfg file with them, like in the mc alpha pack but it doesn't work with other packs when I move that info.cfg into theirs
basically sound packs will only work if they in a .zip and have a info.cfg file in them
I suggest that you revert audiotori back to an older build because this 1.5.1 update is broken

auditori can't read the file if it is in a .zip , .rar etcQuote from Talon_Evans
I extracted it, then tried converting it into a .zip. Placed it in the Audiotori folder in .minecraft. It didn't work, didn't show up in the Audiotori GUI. I tried converting the .rar itself into a .zip, didn't work either...
just extract it as the raw file and leave it, don't compress it into a zip or rar
