posted a message on The Aether(Anti-Nether Realm) Current Topic: New Nether
    Quote from gvt123

I support it, but i dont think so.
It would be a too big update, and sinse mojang does the most things on they're own, i don't think the Aether will ever be added to the game.
And the Aether has been suggested so many times, and mojang din't added it.

I also think the Aether is a bit to mod-y to be in vanilla.
So it probably will just stay as a mod.

You think the Aether is moddy because the people who made the mod went overboard with content. You go to the Aether and never go back because now the tools made from trees are better than diamond.

If done properly, the Aether could very well fit in with vanilla Minecraft. Just look at the original skylands, they would make a perfect Aether if modified correctly.

Actually, me and two others are going to be attempting to make a mod that will make an Aether that fits in with vanilla Minecraft. It will also add in more Nether content to match the Aether. It's not in development yet, but we are currently going over ideas. Many are from this thread and the new Nether thread. Suggestions would be appreciated, for we don't have very many ideas yet.

posted a message on BUNNIES and RABBITS
    Quote from Rendamar
My thoughts on the new rabbits are this:

    2. Rabbit feet are currently way too hard to get. None of the other brewing ingredients are rare drops. Of course, I wouldn't mind this if I could actually farm rabbits. But right now, it's extremely difficult to farm them in large numbers since you need a separate leash for each individual animal.

    3. The most important point: I hate the teleportation. It's extremely annoying. Since rabbits drop meat and hides, they should be treated as farm animals and you should be able to keep 20 rabbits in a pen without having to hook them up to 20 leads. Leads are unsightly, they frequently break (I have come back to my base and found rabbits loose many times) and they are expensive, requiring large amounts of string and slime. This is really a no-brainer. Either let bunnies sit or better yet let us breed them without taming them.

I agree with you. I actually think that this is how rabbits should be:

    • Nonpersistent: Right now rabbits are persistent like farm animals, the problem with this is that they must be tamed to breed, but taming them makes them follow/teleport to you unless you tie them up. Making them nonpersistent, like wolves and ocelots, would make them more of a wild mob that player's would hunt.
    • Higher foot drop rate:The fact that rabbits will almost never drop an ingredient for a potion that isn't super powerful is kind of ridiculous. Strength potions are far easier to get and they are over powered.
    • Faster: The rabbits are really slow for a rabbit. They should be able to outpace a sprinting player.
    • Better taming: It's fine that you can tame them, just look at wolves and ocelots. The problem is that they can't be told to sit. This really needs to be fixed.
    • Fix the sideways hopping, it's really creepy and annoying....
Those changes would make rabbits far more enjoyable.

posted a message on New slimmer arms model being tested
    Quote from Knochenbowser
I honestly don't think this is really necessary or even making new possibilities. All it does is change the players appearance, it doesn't affect skinners in any way, it just removes a few pixels from the front view.

The original intention of every model in the game was to be genderless, this is not really following that intention, but whatever floats their boat.

Dang I haven't posted here for a very long time. Hello everyone who remembers my ugly avatar and name!

Greetings, it has been a long time since I have seen you around.

I have a question and that is: Why are the rabbits persistent? They are wild like wolves and ocelots, not farm animals. Because of this, you kill them, and then they are gone. The only way to breed them is to tame them, but then they follow and teleport to you. They should be made to be non-persistent, that way they are more of a hunted mob rather than a farm mob.

posted a message on Do you think that rabbit skins need some rework?
I like the bunnies. But they need to be faster than sprinting speed. Right now they are slower than walking and barely faster than sneaking.

If only it looked like the bunny from the Mo' Creatures mod.

You mean the bouncing rectangles? No thanks.

    Quote from Valiec2019

Yay! New mobs and new potions!

    You did it, GerbilCrab!

    They're using your potion ideas!
I'd like to believe that, but I'm sure it's just a coincidence. Either way, I'm glad they are doing it.

posted a message on Rabbits and Jump Boost Potions!
TheMogMiner recently posted images of the rabbit items. They appear to be sources of leather, meat, and a new potion: Jump Boost! Also looks like Sheep will be dropping meat too.

We recently have reached 1000 supporters on the poll.

Today, MogMiner also posted an image that shows rabbit foots being used to create jump boost potions. That is one more potion that is getting taken off the missing potions list. I wonder what its corrupted version will be. Perhaps slowness, or hopefully nausea.

They usually never optimize their patches. The difference between 1.7.2-1.7.9 is terrible.
