Try using the HTML5 beta of YouTube? This won't really fix the fact that Flash sucks.
And might not work as good since it's a beta but it's something to take a look at.

HTML5 will probably take over from Flash...one day

    Already tried that. Didn't Work.

I've actually fixed it. I had to redownload Adobe and Java. Then I did some system cleaning and reset my audio settings. I'm not quite sure which program caused the problem, but it was very unessential.

Yeah, HOLIDAYS. Their always on a holiday and don't care about the game.
    New mobs, new items.
Surprising my 7 year old computer, can run the biggest mods, what add over 60 mobs. Weird!

Really? If they didn't care, the game wouldn't have over 11 millions sales for being a good game by now.
And your 7 year old computer was probably the best for it's time. You obviously have no idea that some people play the game with the lowest settings and still get 10 fps. They can't handle a landslide of new features because the game would be unplayable.

Honestly, to anyone who doesn't realize, the reason they don't add 50 new mobs, 100 new items and a bunch of different mechanics is because the game probably couldn't handle it. People with lower end hardware would not be able to play the game. Many people can't do Tekkit or FTB because of the outrageous amount of new mechanics and items.

They need to take small steps to make sure stuff works.

Well... and they've been busy lately. Holidays and events.

They are confirmed in future updates. Just check the Minecraft Wiki, and you'll see that they are confirmed in a future update.

They aren't confirmed. They're a popular idea. Notch was throwing ideas around one day and people added that stuff to the wiki to always be a possible addition and to gives others ideas.

    Ozocraft has custom ambiance.

Cave 1 Sounds like some kind of rushing wind with and a monkey howl.

Cave 2 Sounds like People Screaming and shouting with the same monkey howl.

Cave 3 Sounds like the High pitched sounds of the Alien toys from toy story laughing then quickly turning demonic.

Cave 5 sounds like a distant minecart with a subtle breathing.

I think it is Cave 1 but I put the ambiance on my Google drive account In MP3. See if you find the one. https://drive.google...Sm8&usp=sharing

    Cave 1.

Gah! I wouldn't recommend Ozocraft for the faint hearted then. That terrified me. Case closed.

I'd like to listen to this sound.

Could you go into the resources folder of Minecraft and see if you can find which sound it is?

Okay, I'm just going to put my instructions on how to find the .minecraft folder into a spoiler since I kind of started rambling on a bit and the wiki link I posted makes more sense.
If you're using Windows, it should be in
    C:\Users\(your username here)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
(If you can't find AppData, enable "View Hidden Files and Folders")

The sounds should be in a subfolder of the .minecraft folder called "resources." It might be different since I heard they changed they folder structure in 1.6, and I don't have 1.6 yet because I play primarily multiplayer and Bukkit is not yet updated (at least the last time I checked which was a day or two ago) and so the server I play on is not updated.

And if you can't find your .minecraft folder, the wiki offers instructions on getting there that are honestly probably better if you don't enter your .minecraft folder very often. Of course, I'm going in mine often enough that I keep a shortcut to it on my desktop...

ANYWAY, this wiki link tells you what you need to know about the folder structure.

As I've said, I don't have the proper software to listen to them. The resource pack I was using at the time was Ozocraft. I did find some sounds files in the ambiance folder that came with the pack. Unfortunately, I can't access them.

were you using any resource pack?

I was using OzoCraft. But I wasn't sure if they had added sounds. I see different sound files within the .zip but can't access them.

I know you said it wasn't an enderman but are you absolutely sure? The sound you've described matched the sound the enderman makes when you first look at him.

    -Enderman Sound-

Sometimes when you look at an enderman, the sound plays but he doesn't become hostile.

    100%
I can rest assured knowing that wasn't it. Which frightened me.

I went the the seed and that location, didn't hear anything.
I kind of want to hear it.

When you hear it, you'll have the sudden urge to stop playing for the night. At least I did.

Okay. So I had set up a new world yesterday after updating. Thought I'd do some legitimate mining and building to stay on top of things. Dug a mine, farm, and a little workshop. No big deal right?

Well, later on, the search for diamonds was on. Went spelunking and found some along with emeralds and other such generalized materials. Was having a blast. Until the sound hit.

I know about the ambiance sounds. Hell, I'm a veteran minecrafter! But this was crazy weird.

Deeper and deeper into an unknown cave, I ran around looking the same old stuff and ended up near a lava pool.

I started hearing a loud windy noise. I thought it was the livestream I was listening to, but when I paused it, the sound continued. It got louder, and louder, and I started hearing a man's scream in that mess of noise. After 10 seconds of that torturous noise, I bolted out of there.

I know for a fact that it wasn't an Enderman. That sounds creeps me out but this was just awful. I've only read one other description that closely matches my experience and it was from a year ago.

    I'd really love some explanation.

Case closed. It turns out Ozocraft decided to add sounds, unbeknownst to me. Get it for a good random scare while mining.
