Apparently nobody reads (much less understands) the Terms Of Service that you agreed to when you originally bought the game. Here it is, in black and white:
http://www.minecraft.net/terms
Where does it say that any version for any platform will be free?
Where does it say that all these updates you've enjoyed all this time is promised?
Where does it promise that after the official release that there will be anymore updates... much less, if there is, that you get them for free?
I know how you think it should be, or how you'd like it to be, but that's not how it really is.
Deal with it.
Now:
1- Sorry it doesn't run on old, small phones. How can you expect the "whole" MC to run on any phone when some good size PCs and laptops can't run it? Few companies write new programs that will work in Win XP now, and you haven't upgraded... so that's MS's fault?
2-$7 for a game like MC, and you guys are bitching and moaning about that? Are you kidding me???? Darn people, that's 1/2 the price of a good pizza that you'll enjoy for a few minutes today and crap tomorrow!
Just buy the game to cover the development cost, enjoy it for what it is, and if you get any free updates, clap your hands- you lucked out.

I just downloaded it, $6.99US.
Creative only, no mobs (even passive). And no, no texture packs, mods, etc. nor do existing users get it for free (PC version yes, other versions, no). It's basically the alpha version.

The control system is much better than Eden. Picked it up right away. Love the auto-jump (automatically jumps you up to the next block) which makes going up hills just as easy as going down them. Tap to place the current item, touch and hold to mine. On screen Dpad moves you, scroll with finger to change direction/view (like the mouse does now).
World is not infinite. It's quite large though (big enough for most any huge, ambitious building project). I've only looked at one world so far and it had normal, desert, and snow biomes.
Looks good on my iPad2/ios5! NO lag. $6.99 is a tiny bit pricy compared to other apps, but it's still worth it (to me).
Yea... Minecraft- on the go! -

I don't think you're thinking this through.
I would think that every game would have to sell for 2X to 4X as much as they do now, because now the programmers/developers have to make a PC, PS3, Xbox, AND Wii version for every game so all the platforms are covered AND provide it each kind of media so you can load it on any platform.
In a Perfect World, all games (or any program for that matter) are written in one language that will work on any PC (regardless of OS) or console. Course, all games must be "adjusted down" so they will work on the console with the least specs :sad.gif:
In the meantime, of course it would be "nice" if you bought a game you could play it on "any" system... but that ain't happening anytime soon. -

why cant it come out for ps3? xbox alredy has fortesscraft and now they get minecraft what a gay rip off
So xbox has Total Miner, Fortresscraft, and Castle Miner right now. Xbox has TONS of indie games that you can download and play. MC will be another one. PS3 has no MC-like games, or few indie games (compared to xbox) for that matter. Why not? Because PS3 isn't as "indie" friendly. Apparently MS makes it much easier and financially viable to work with them- compared to Sony.
My point is that we should quit blaming Notch for not putting MC on PS3. Remember: "Follow the money." So "why can't it come out for PS3?"
I'd ask/blame Sony! -

If we already own the PC version, why do we have to spend another £4.29 for the pocket edition, can't we just login in with username and password?
Sure.
We should get every platforms' version if we pay for one of them right?
If it were your game, wouldn't you charge people to cover all the development cost, etc. instead of giving it away for free?
Sure you would!
Now that I've ragged on you (and the rest of the "it should be free" crowd), I do want to thank you for the rest of the post. It's nice to hear that it's easy to control and no lag. Hopefully the xbox and IOS versions will be the same way! Remember that this coming from someone who is really soured on the PC versions- both my Win and Mac laptops overheat and have memory problems (which hopefully Jeb is fixing), so this is great news. -

LOL. You'd think, huh? I've never seen so much bitching, moaning, and whining over a $12 game in my life. Boggles the mind the percentage of negative posts....
Sheesh- MC is coming out not only on the PC, but xbox, Android, IOS. MC for (almost) everybody! And that's a Bad Thing? -

You guys kill me. So what if it costs $3-4 dollars? That's less than the cost of a Big Mac Meal. I've already posted my thoughts on it being free or unable to mod it (the xbox version), so I won't go there again. I just hope it comes to Apple's App Store. Will make it easy to buy, and it will be patched/upgraded automatically. Cool!
Personally, I can't see playing it on a tiny phone screen, but on an iPad-size screen? Oh yea! I only hope they make a "jump bar" on the bottom that I can hit with my thumb- the idea that someone posted about shaking an iPad to jump makes my arms tired just thinking about it. -

Which edition of MC are we talking about? (The java edition or the Windows 10 Beta Edition?)
0
The operating system doesn't matter. The Edition of Minecraft does.
1- Yes he can... IF he's running "Minecraft: Windows 10 Beta Edition" (Win10) and his buddy is running PE or Win10. (Win10-to-Win10 is best).
2- Both will need Mojang accounts, both will need to buy their own game, and both will need to have a Live account (one can have the free Silver, and one the paid Gold) OR instead of Live, one will have to have a paid Realms account. In other words, they can play together through Live, or they can play together through Realms. Also, in the Win10 versions, they will need to have the "Broadcast to Xbox Live" option turned on.
3- see above.

Several people have posted a problem with the game not loading, crashing after the splash screen, etc. They all have the same thing in common: click on the icon, game starts, but then quits... because something (usually graphics) isn't right.
Please read http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/minecraft-windows-10-edition/2715948-common-issue-on-the-forum-i-can-not-get-the-game
Again, the problem has been reported and added to the Official "bug" list for a while now, but there's been 4 bug fixes put out since 15.0 was released and apparently it isn't fixed yet. This confirms to me that it's not a problem with the game itself- it's a problem with the person's computer. Win10 will run... IF all your ducks are in a row (updated drivers, etc.).
Finally, don't leave us in the dark- it you find an solution that works for you, post it.

In the meantime, Win10 won't run with NVidia cards. BTW, you don't "plug in" your built in video card- it's a part of the CPU. That's why it's called a "intergrated" card.
You won't gain a thing by using your NVidia card (it won't run "better" or "faster"). Change it so Win10 uses the intergrated card. Or not. Your choice.

It's not stupid.
Win10 is for pc, tablets, and phones. It's the only multi-platform version we have. And it's improving leaps and bounds with every update.
What is stupid is that consoles still don't have "infinite" worlds. They're the hold up.
But they are working on upgrading the (newer) consoles to the java version... and so is Win10 & PE. When that happens, then everyone can play together... except for the java version people- they're forever on their own. (Let me try.... ughhh..... nope, no tears here).

Ah, no wonder it threw me for a loop.

You can't "summon" anything in Win10. Win10 isn't the PC version (thank goodness). But, maybe in the future....

* "Free" is pricy? Even those that have to buy it- it's only $10. However, once it comes out of beta it will be "regular" price, probably $24-$26.
* Win10 doesn't have servers. PE does, and Win10 can hook to them. PE servers are "free", it's Realms that you have to pay for.
* "Mods" (actually add-ons) for Win10 that the "community" makes are already covered (see "Minecraft Announcement At E3" in the News).
* Maybe I'm dense, but what does "goat" mean?

The problem is the server hasn't updated yet. When it does, you can connect.

Just so you know, there's no "operating system" forums. The forums here are arranged by the edition (version) of MC, not operating system you're trying to run it in. (There's no Windows, iOS, Unix, etc. forums). This forum is for "Minecraft: Windows 10 Beta Edition".
(Man, I wish they'd take out the "Windows 10" part of the name- it really confuses people!)
Anyway, time for MS Support.

MS doesn't run Realms, Mojang does.

Trick question.
Win10 is growing, expanding, and changing way too fast to answer that question.
Plus, Mojang has stated that Win10, PE, and the (newer) consoles will all "catch up" to the PC version by the end of the year or very soon after. So I wouldn't worry about any "difference".
In my opinion, Win10 is the future of MC, and we will make it the new "standard" MC. Win10 is on it's way up.... PC version, not so much. Careful which horse you hook your wagon to.
Personally, I wouldn't do any "let's play" yet. Let it come out of beta first. Any "let's play's" you make now will probably be out of date next month.

I take it you "created a server" with your computer that runs Windows 10. (Win10, the beta edition of MC, doesn't have "servers", and if it's the java version you're talking about then this is the wrong forum. The forums aren't arranged by operating system.)
Sounds like you need to talk to MS support, as this doesn't sound like a MC problem- sounds like a icon problem.

Win10 has a Export/Import option now. You don't need to know the where the save game folder is.
Sorry you lost all your worlds. Didn't know a crash would cause you to lose them all.
