what's with 1.6.4 I checked it out there was nothing new. My guess is some bug fix's.
Its all bugfixes, buddy :). A major bug they fixed was if you went into a 1.6.2 world, then played it on the snapshots for 1.7, then came back to 1.6.2, any nether fortresses and such will be deleted. -

Try putting the "setUnlocalizedName" and "setCreativeTab" methods where you define your block, instead of in the ItemGoldenEggs constructor. And also try making your item id pretty high, like 1000. Hope this helps :).

1. Make it at LEAST 15 minutes long!
-*exhale*. Ok so, first of all, dont make a mad short custom map. No one likes that, including me. I actually played a map that told me to do 8 - 2-block jumps, and it was already over. It took me more time to set up my recorder (Clicking my destination and hitting enter) then actually playing the map.

2. Include screenshots in your thread!
- Be sure to include screenshots/a trailer of your map. How are we forum members supposed to know that your "map" isnt spyware? We dont. Include pictures so more people would play your map!

3. Try and make your own "category"!
- Parkour and CTM maps get old to a custom map lover like me, fast. If you try and make your own concept behind your map, maybe more people might try it because its not "the same old, same old".

4. Dont start off in creative mode!
- This is my pet peeve of custom maps. I dont know why, but a LOT of custom maps start you off in creative mode, with a full inventory of building materials. Be sure to switch your gamemode to survival/adventure, and clear your inventory with Too Many Items, or use the "/gamemode 0/2" and "/clear" commands!

5. Beta-test your map!
- I hate when people dont do this when releasing a new map. I played a parkour map with more then half of the dispensers that are supposed to be trying to shoot you of with arrows not working because the redstone wasnt wired up correctly or was on redstone blocks. Before you publicly release your map, back-up your world save, and play through your whole map, checking to make sure everything works properly.

Thats all i got for now. If you guys got any ideas to put this thread, be sure to reply! With these instructions, and some other fixes , you should be able to make a much better custom map .

Heres a rule of thumb, whenever you need help with a coding/ eclipse problem, always post your source code or take a screenshot of the problem so we can help you easier. Take a screenshot of that configurations window and post it here so i can see it. .

Well, first of all, watch some of thenewboston's tutorials so you now some java: http://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=31
Then you can watch some minecraft modding tutorials, and be sure to start with forge, not modloader. Its way easier to make/install mods, and everyone uses it, heres some good forge tutorials by freezzerrr: http://www.minecraft...aking-requests/.
