    After a bit over a year, good news came to our virtual mailbox. All mods are for public distrubation. No more manual downloads and installations! We did have to cut out two mods due to unavoidable issues, but the pack is barely changed without them.

    Steps:
    Installing Patches
    1) Download and open patch.
    2) Read update information.
    3) Uninstall updated mods.
    4) Remove discontinued mods.
    5) Remove configs for corresponding mods.
    6) Install mods from downloaded patch.
    7) Install configs from downloaded patch.
    8) Update Forge if necessary.
    9) Start minecraft. Enjoy.

    Do not use the MultiMC 5 launcher if you don't know what you're doing. This is complex. If you do not like using the FTB launcher, I recommend googling the MultiMC 5 on youtube for better instructions.

    FAQs
    What does X item/block do?
    To cut to the point, with the sheer number of mods, it can get a bit confusing time to time. I don’t even know what some of the blocks do. Even less off the top of my head. I find Google to be an amazing tool. Just Google the block, or the mod it came from. The majority of mods have some documentation on their content.

    I have an issue!!!!
    Please read all the points in this post, I try to address any issues I’ve come across.

    I’ve started a new world, but I have no idea what I’m doing!
    Everyone is different, the best way to start is to punch a few chests and dive head first! Get stuck? Google.

    Any suggested servers for the mod pack?
    There is one in the works, will updated when more is done.

    I have a suggestion for a mod!
    I’m open to suggestions. But I’ve tried a fair set of mods, so I may not add all the suggested ones. Check out the github for more information.

    I get a black screen!
    99% of the time, something was installed wrong. Reinstall the pack and follow the instructions. A video and a step-by-step guide is provided.

    When does it come out? (Any related question.)
    It will come out when it’s good and ready. This stuff takes time, and I like to get the pack as bug-free as possible. That being said: I will not read, reply, or even think about ETA requests. So please save yourself time, and don’t ask. That being said, the "Coming Soon?" section will tell you the current state of the next update.

    Change Log and Known Bugs?
    A change log is included with every version of the pack. As well, known issues are posted on the post below.

    There used to be a great mod by simo_415 back in like 1.5 beta, that really expanded on the chat features. But as of recent (past 1.8beta) it has vanished. It was called "Improved Chat" It contained all sorts of amazing features that really enhanced the chat interface. Making it mirror more of those contained in MMOs. It was a bit of complex mod. However, its a bit outdated with the features now contained today.

    Request: I ask that someone make a mod that provides used with a more stylish chat. That carries over that old MMO feel. Better explained under features.

    Features:
    • Private Message Tabs: When you PM someone, a new tab will open up, that allows you to only see the messages sent between you and the other player.
    • Change Chat Colour(s): Change all chat colour, (and if willing, friends colours, private message, global, etc)
    • The ability to re size the Chat Box and drag: Customization of the chat box kinda lack in the new versions of minecraft, and being able to tailor minecraft as one wishes would be great.
    • Ignore Global: Kinda the same concept as putting the opacity to zero. Except with gained features, "no" chat messages appear in chat.
    • Friends and Blocked: I constantly run into scenarios where friend-ing someone would be useful, but blocking them all the more useful. Blocking would "ignore" messages they send.
      • - Friend Features
      - Bold the name, (or some special indication of friend-ness.)
      - Ignores the "ignore global chat" feature
    • On Name Click: By right-clicking (or what ever keying) on a name, it will bring up a toolbox containing shortcuts like "pm" "friend" "block" etc.
    • History: Saves history from entire instance of minecraft. One of my least favorite things is going to look back in the chat history, to find that the message is gone.
    • Aliases: More so like shortcuts, by saying something like "!waffle" will provide the server with command "/help page 8", though it must be a command, (to avoid spammers.)
    • Customization: Things like History Limit, colour change, font size, "Global Chat ON|OFF"
    I'm sorry if this is asking a lot. Its just something that I've missed for a while, and defiantly feel like would enhance the experience. If it's possible, forge would be preferred.
