I hate to say this, but I think I will be leaving the community. I can't play Minecraft or a CTM map anymore without getting incredibly bored. You guys are an awesome community and I wish you all the best in the future. If you want to stay in touch with me I frequently play games on Steam, just add me: Ploppywhacker

The problem with that is that I would never like it.
Yes, I could make a map, but what is that going to accomplish (for me)? I wouldn't like making maps. I had enough troubles with Pantheon and continually testing it, and I barely made anything for the map, but I at least thought of it and how it was going to be executed. I have the ideas, and everyone HAS ideas, but I can't put them into action. There's people out there like Draco_Rogue who can do amazing terraforming and great building, he can put ideas into action (very well, as seen by his second map that I'm testing). It's better to leave mapmaking to the people who can use tools to the fullest potential, still keep up with every feature, and manage to finish making it.

And Bly said, "Let there be deaths."
And it was so.

Really? Because I don't.
I smell a veryreligiousobnoxious person in this thread who either has too much time on his hands or has converted to the stone age. -

Maybe I could be more 'efficient' with my time, but at the end of the day the task got done, regardless of how I ended up doing it. The point I am trying to make is that you don't need MCEdit to do every small thing that Minecraft has to offer. Granted MCEdit has its perks (Custom spawners, invisible blocks, the ability to make giant areas...ect) yes it is a nice program to use but at the end of the day there are several ways to do things. I just happened to take the fun way.
You need to enter a room. You could either:
1. Climb the walls, Spider-Man style, to get to the ceiling, where you use your teeth to gnaw through a lock on the trapdoor, dropping you into the room
-OR-
2. Use your key to unlock the door and walk in.
People are going to use the more efficient option because it's more efficient. Doing things the long way, even if it's "legitimate", doesn't improve the quality of the outcome. You're going to be using MCEdit anyway to make the spawner, so why bother getting the mob the long way? -

What I am saying is that I like to take some pride in my work. I'd rather have the satisfaction of actually taking the time to find the Wither Skeleton Jockey myself then to create it with an external program.
But why?
You're going to save time making it in an external program, and nobody else is going to care if you found a trophy mob that 99.9% of people won't face in Vanilla just to use it for a different purpose.
You should be efficient with your time. -

YOUR INTRO! I LOVE IT!Quote from mirrorwolf9
No clue where the current conversation is, and I don't feel like going back and reading the last 30 or so pages. But that's not what this is about! Bly has convinced me to give the new Sunburn Islands a try! Here's episode 2 because Episode 1 was a bad one.
srsly?... -_- -

I tried using VoxelSniper, but a lot of the tools seemed really complicated. I also wasn't able to find a good tutorial for it. Does anyone have a link to one, because it seems like an incredibly powerful tool.
Simple.
The /v command sets your block type. For example, /v 1 sets your block to stone.
The /b command does two things: Sets brush size, and sets brush type.
/b <number> sets your brush size to that number. /b 10 is good for big caverns, /b 5 is good for detail.
A few useful brush types:
/b v
A cube brush.
/b b
Most useful one, a sphere brush.
/b over d<number>
Quite useful, a topsoil replacer. /b over d5 will replace the top 5 blocks.
Erosion brushes:
/b e smooth
Smooths, quite well actually.
/b e melt
Melts terrain at will.
/b e fill
Opposite of melt.
/b e lift
Sort of like fill, but simply lifts blocks. Play with these a bit.
How to snipe:
Grab two tools: gunpowder and arrow. Right click with them to use, at any range.
The difference is a bit subtle - arrow is the basic brush, but gunpowder is an "overlay" brush - play with it, as usual.
This is just the basic brushes, but this and WE is more than enough to make great maps in game.

That's not too bad. I remember it being much worse. Mine take about 3 times the length normally it seems, but I get a lot more functionality.
Can you link me your channel so I can see the end quality?
Edit: Derp, it's in your signature. Your audio is really good. I'd be jealous if I wasn't going for a stylistic suck with my own audio XD
Thanks! I use a Microsoft Lifechat headset; it's worked really well for me
