Nope, sorry. That's why it tells you to make backups when trying snapshots.
The logs folder is just a history of executed start-up code, and looks like random characters and symbols when opened.(with a text editor)
There's no way to revert from it, to my knowlege.
For example, this is what it looks like when opened with notepad:
(Warning: lots of text, open at own scrolling risk)
Doesn't seem likely, the 'b' snapshots do often just fix bugs though. I think it's a real shame that the snapshot are really decreasing in quality, and I'm not talking about any particular lack of content, just the instability overall. I know we're warned about the high probability of problems, but not fixing or even assigning major issues from one week to the next prevents players from being able to test the next snapshot, knowing that the problems from the previous weeks are still apparent.
Keep note that 14w07a never had a b version, which means it was stable enough to not need bug-fixes. This "decrease in quality" (air quotes, not actually happening) is because of the rewrites, and other internal stuff, so mojang hasn't been adding anything. I can sympathize with people that want content, but it'll get worse before it gets better. Dinnerbone already promised survival stuff after the rewrites. Just buckle down and ride the storm of "nothing happening".
Hmm. Try completely removing all java installations, rebooting your computer, then reinstalling java. Make sure that you get the newest version and correct bit.
Sounds like a corruption of your java, Java usually handles memory well.
Sounds like your computer is dying. Minecraft only usually (more if using LOTS of mods) needs ~300-500 MB, so your amount that it is using is too much. The hits and bugs (The irony, BUGS) might have dealt the fatality to your computer.
What i would suggest is taking the computer to a local tech support place, and see if they can repair it. Or, just get a new computer. As for the RAM, try adding the below into the JVM arguments field in the launcher profile settings, and check the box to the left of the field. Delete whatever's there previously.
If you run it with no internet after logging in once, and it fails to launch, that means that you don't have all the files needed.
If you're sure you have all the files, try disconnecting from the interneton purpose. Minecraft should detect that it has no connection and will run as if it has the files already. (It will still check them to make sure they are legit) If this fails, it didn't download everything it needs. Next time you go to a place with a good connection, make sure that it successfully downloads everything. (Game will launch). Also load up a world so it can download the assets such as sounds and others.
If none of the above works, post what it says under the development console after it fails to launch.

Is it your INTERNET crashing, or the game?
If internet, that's unrelated, unless you were on a server.
If the game, then give us what it says under the 'development console' tab.

If the mob farm has a spawner, make sure it is dark inside and the spawner wasn't destroyed.

Blue was close. It's
/give <player> command_block 1
replace <player> with a username.

Or something along those lines. However, using tp with /execute is a little buggy now.
