It's something about the timing of the command blocks firing. Try placing the remover block first or second.

It's your video card. It can't play newer versions. Sorry. You should still be able to play 1.6.

posted a message on Whats going on mojang....
This seems to be a setup. A bit of professional trolling, if you will. Seems like Zex talked to mojang, and had them do this for him. Reading through DinBone's twitter, he was clueless at first, then began to scold him, then let him go. This seems to be organized.

I'm pretty sure, I remember hearing that somewhere, but can't remember where.

Try reinstalling your java, and get the newest version,(not the beta) and the correct bit for your computer. This is the common problem for most people.

There is a fix. You need to have the university allow minecraft to connect to mojang's auth servers, which for the life of me I can't seem to recall. Sorry. I remember them starting like: s3.amazonaws.????, something like that.

To add onto this, trying to transfer files to another computer will void/invalidate the checksum values, so in order to fix, the computer needs to connect to the internet to update the values so the game can't be pirated easily. Make sure that the .minecraft folder is in roaming, then run the launcher/game, while connected to the internet. If you can't get a internet connection on the second com., then you're out of luck, simply because of the files needing to update, even if they really are legit.

It's just the computer. It's not really good enough to run minecraft. You can try installing Optifine, a minecraft mod.

posted a message on Help! Minecraft 1.7.4 World Won't Save!
A quick fix that you might be able to try is running minecraft as an admin. right click on minecraft.exe and click 'run as administrator'. Keep the launcher open, change the setting in launcher profiles to keep it open.

If that doesn't work, Open the world in question, place a few blocks, then hit save&exit. Post the contents of the launcher tab 'development console', in spoilers, like this:
Log here
It'll tell if there's a problem with saving.

    Quote from gerbil

It's not a bug in the snapshot, it's a feature. The 1.8 snapshots have the new inventory / items implementation (no ids, only labels).
Once you use it you can't go back because 1.7 doesn't understand the 1.8 system.

Yes, as gerbil said. The snapshots right now are very volatile, with the changes in 1.8. This is why it explicitly warns to make backups, it doesn't just warn you for fun. No fix other than cheating the items back in from what you can remember.

A common problem that plagues people with this problem is outdated java.

Try getting the newest version of java and uninstalling the old.

No, it's certain graphics cards. They can't really fix it. It happens to me too. I think that advanced GPU's (expensive nvidia cards, such as used by youtube professionals) don't have this problem. I've grown not to notice it.

    Quote from slemire

I really want to get that dirt that grass doesn't spread onto, but I can't figure out the command. I'm in 1.7.2 :) please help!

(ps; I'm trying to make the ShadowClan camp from the Warriors series by Erin Hunter. I've used soul sand, gravel, and podzol, along with spruce leaves & dead bushes but I need this dirt so that I don't have to find and replace every grass block in a 16 chunk radius :P )

    Ah. That's damage values.

    Do:

    /give @p dirt 1 1

That will give you a single dirt block, without grass spread.

Ps: Love that series, recommend it to people.

If none of the above works, post what it says under the development console after it fails to launch.

Eh? Having that would help a lot more.

Not much to do other than delete and regen the world, or use mcedit to delete the creepers.
