    after reading the posts, i do aggree C++ is slightly more complicated. this is because C++ focuses on normal windows files. however, there are other scripting programs like Lua and other ones mentioned. there is one that i somewhat use for a 3D creation program. this scripting program is called python. this scripting program is more focusing on the aid of 3D creation. someone has made a ragdoll titorial which made the programing just useing python make a realistic ragdoll. (and normaly they have other programs to do the same thing, but takes more memory.)

    so there are probobly many scripting programs than we know. Java, Lua, C++ and Python are maby just the tip of the iceberg

    before i go, now i think java can render only a limited # of objects, because i heard that is how java shuts down when you blow up 10+ :tnt: or have a huge floating island as big as a city.

    so, I've been thinking for a long long time, now i know :iapprove: has made a minecraft program has made an exe so you don't have to use a browser. but it still uses java. i think the program could not be java based. for a while, ive been thinking of the advanteges and disadvantages of the conversion.

    Advantages:

    1. animation can be exstended which could make it more apealing. (aka, giving elbo joints to the mobs)

    2. TNT LOVERS!!! if you have 20+ tnt, the program will not shut down when they will go off. the only limitation will be it may lag only from your computer or worst case, an unexspected no responce/program shutdown (if it dose that is.)

    3. enviornment building could maby be smoother depending on the computer.

    so there are other things that i may have missed. but here is a fact that most of you may know, Minecraft is always running on java. so you may have the top quality computer but java will make limitations makeing the processing power cut by 1/2 or maby 2/3 at most horribly.

    now the only disadvantage is depending how good your computer is. if you have a good quality computer (dosn't have to be the best) no problom. i had a low graphics computer and i would have no problom i think. another thing is converting java script into... something else if you use the java virsion vs the program virsion.

    so what do ya think?

    So as far as i know everyone is always wanting A.I. to meet thair needs on combat fighting, there are many games that surpass and amaze people with the A.I. . there are two games that i think are good examples if good combat A.I.:

    Super Smash Bro. Brawl (SSBB)
    and
    Halo Reach

    My main one i like to talk about is ssbb. when just playing a normal round, you can change the difficulty level goes from level 1 the lowest A.I. to level 9, the highest. I've been playing the level 9 diffuculty for years and i noticed many things. Level 9 is where the A.I. starts thinking, in a way it maybe makes a list of what moves you did and if they were sucsessfull. like this:
    Battle in last minute
    Battle recording | Punch | Kick | Special |
    Successful | 3 | 4 | 2 |
    blocked from A.I. | 4 | 2 | 1 |
    A.I. attackes missed | 1 | 3 | 2 |
    battle pattern found: True

    so before we move on, I just want to know what the graph is saying, so the successful tab means which move hit the A.I. opponent, vs. the blocked from A.I. which played the moves by ear (aka toying with the player) A.I. missed attacks is which attacks you doged, then the last part, be carefull if you are a player doing this, i had this problem when i played the game at first. some people may not realizeing it, but the way they fight may show a patern like an old school boss. (again, no offence to those people, i had the same probloms)

    useing this info, it then uses it to its advantage, this is where things will get ugly. now i dont know if they do it, but they maby refresh the list maby every minute. so this is one of the tactics for good A.I.

    so if anyone wants to exspand on this idea, please don't heasitate to post, there is no such thing as an stupid idea (unless your purposly making it seem stupid, but anyways) i want to try to help those who want to make a game with good A.I. I know i want to make better A.I. enemies for a game i make.

    well as i found out the meshes (objects) seem to have seem to have something called a class file. i'll looke into this and see what this is.

    EDIT: ok so i found a site that exsplains how class files work

    so as i know. many many people have wanting to make thair own mobs. but i think i solved this problom. there is a program i've been useing for about 1 1/2 years now called blender. this 3d creation computer program is 100% free, now you could create new mobs with this program, but there is an addon you need to make a file that could place in the game. this addon is called pythin which will help you export the file in java format, i'm looking into this as best as i can. (blender users and java users help me investigate this) doing this could help us out on one our questions since minecraft started "how do i make more mobs?"

    everyone tell me what you think.

    (if i made a few spelling mastaces, i'm sorry this forum needs a spell check addon)

    ok, so as the title says, i'm trying to make a charecter mod, now im useing blender and the charecter is almost done, but i need to know how many blender units a single block in minecraft is...

    and before i forget, how do i bring a mesh into minecraft, i saw this one person make like 3 new working animals. anyways... what i'm trying to say is how do i replace the old charecter mesh with the new one. and how do i set the textures in the game and on the charecter useing the png images?

    i know this is alot of questions and info, but i want to go beyond texture packs... i'll post in a few to try to show the charecter
