Ooh! And what about the djinn? An elemental demon who who can be both good and evil? The djinn could be a rare nutral or aggressive mob that ether can be traded with or allied with or, who will attack you on sight. The djinn are described as being made up of a "smokless fire" and so could have fire related attacks. Some could travel in small groups that worship the dragons and see themselves as the minnions of the dragons. Attacking anyone that questions their belief. However the dragons may still attack them for they are dragons and show no mercy, leading to djinns who die by a dragon to proclame before hey die "our god has abandoned us!" Or something along those lines

    Mod idea:

Since you've added silver armour, I'm pretty sure you guys would've already gone over the idea of a werewolf since its been in other mods before.

So why not add a different werebeast, perphaps the werebear? A massive mountain beast that crushes its foes with great strength. And I don't just mean a half-man half-bear monster, but a warrior. I forget were I read it and I didn't do any big research but I do recall legends of mytholigcal werebears weilding battleaxes and wartorn armour.

    Inspiration? well...
what about a sort of mob that uses sonar to see.
It has large bat like ears that could almost be mistaken for wings...

It spawns deep in a forest somewhere hanging from the side of a tree.
It spawns a rather large distance from the player when they enter a large forest biom.
It has a scratching noise it makes by clicking its teeth together.
This noise echos through the forest for the player to fallow.
The reason the player would want to fallow this is because of its drop.

The creature will attack by producing thick smoke that trails behind it as it chases and runs around you.
The smoke only disappears when the monster is dead.
The creature will lunge at the player quite often, it also scratches and bites (somewhat basic attacks)
When killed the creature will drop a strange dark purplish powder that ether falls on the ground and can be picked up or is just dropped like all other items.
The powder can be put into bottles by putting them together on a crafting bench.
The bottled powder can then be thrown and creates a thick smoke cloud that lasts for about 2-3 minutes.

The bottled powder can also be put in a crafting table with gunpowder.
The bottled powder mixed with gunpowder will be darker then the normal powder smoke when thrown at the ground.
The bottled powder mixed with gunpowder will be extremely flammable and will ignite like a group of tnts that leave flames all over the ground.
The smoke will also disperse slowly as time passes and when the powder mixed with gunpowder disperses, it will make and even larger explosion.

I originally had a big explanation for what the mob could've looked like but lag sort of ruined it.

Not too bad, though using 'sonar to see' wouldn't change any behavior, really. It would just see. Like other mobs.
I just feel like its lacking a sort of theme. I'll still think about it.

Yeah well I guess it is kinda pointless to say it's blind, however there's one thing I forgot to add to it.
The bottled powder mixed with gunpowder, probably gonna need a proper name if you want to add it, only explodes when it ether touches a torch placed on the ground or is shot at with a flaming arrow.

You are walking in a mega taiga, minding your own business, when suddenly some roar bellows down the path, No. I can't be, IT'S....

THE MOB I CAN'T COME UP WITH A NAME WITH!

So yeah, I can't come up with a name for this mob, but it looks like a giant wolf like creature, kinda like beast ganondorf but, with a huge tail kinda shaped like a flail, and without the mane, and covered in ash colored fur.

This titan of a mob has health that reaches at about the 150 mark. it has claws that could cut stone, and the previously mentioned tail that can smash an entire hoard of zombies.

    Just one teeny problem.

    It has no eyes.

So it has to rely on sound to """See""", whenever it hears something, it will blindly charge at it with its claws slashing at it, this can be exploited.

But not all sounds are annoying to this unnamed thingamajig, sounds like flowing water and other things calm it, making attack less and slowly make it more relaxed until it decides to catch a few Z's.

But loud sounds like TNT and doors (And villager sounds) will make it more angry and stuff. Only certain attacks happen on higher levels of peeved, Like the tail whip.

If loud sounds are coming from all sides, it will throw a hissy fit and claw everywhere while making loud noises that will scare away mobs.

You could even make taming it when its calm a feature but it will most likely be OP.

that'd be pretty cool, so like this then?

go to 2:19 to see what I mean

Speaking of music is it possible that you could add drums that The barakoa will play when not fighting, like back at the village. Perphaps you could craft a drumset and leave it in a village or forest and random mobs would play it, like a skeleton, a zombie would bash its head on it, you could hear spiders walking on it, villagers playing it profeshionally...

each mob with their own style of song, some not even a song, just them jumping on it till it breaks, like maybe the skeletons could play like a beat to which the skeletons start to march to

I got A mob idea it consists of four slightly different mobs that work together

the group would consist of multiple of smaller mobs and one or two larger mobs, all have their own mob spawners but they gradaully move towards each other in the wild.

    the four different types are:

    noisemaker moonwalker

This small insect only has 10 health, is peacfull, and looks like a cross between a grasshopper and a stick bug.

it has a dark blue back and underbelly with black legs and head. It creates a sound that sounds alot like a flute and will play random beats

when killed it drops lapis lazuli

    all mobs avoid it

    Noisemaker sunbug

This small insect has only 10 health, is peacefull, and looks like a cross between a scarab beatle and a grasshopper with spiky ridges over its legs.

it has a gold back and legs with white thighs and underbelly. It creates a sound alot like a bass and will play random beats

    When killed it drops gold

    All mobs avoid it

    Noisemaker brownback

This small insect has only 10 health, is peacefull, and looks like a beatle.

It has a brown back with every other body part being green. It creates a sound alot like a drum and will play random beats

it will usaully hide in grass

when killed it drops wood, sticks, and sometimes gravel

    only aggressive mobs avoid it

    Noisemaker Gardian

This massive bug, about 2 blocks tall and 3 blocks long, is the reason most mobs avoid the noisemakers, it looks like a massive beatle with orange eyes,

It is mostly grey with a stone texture that makes it look like a massive rock when it sleeps. It is aggressive when awake attacking everything until it comes in contact with a noismaker that sings (the above three mobs) inwhich it finally falls asleep when the bug starts singing, the gardian's eyes a rather large and apear as long orange lines when closed. It attacks by lunging and biting sometimes flying 2 blocks off the ground to do a smash attack, it deals 5 damage with each hit were the lunge does 6 and the smash attack does 5 to multipletargets and does knockback damage. It attacks rapidly without stopping and is rather fast.

when killed it drops stone, its pincer inwhich can be either be used to make a weapon or to attach to your helmet for a fancy accessory, stone, and sometimes bones.

the noismakers that sing will stop their songs when they come in contact with one another and start a proper song sometimes changing the beat as the bugs hop around.

The gardian has a large attack radius and will sometimes move towards the singing noisemakers from across the map.

Fine forget the Cockatrice then , what about the others?

Well the leshy I feel is the only one with a chance of catching the interest of mowzie because of its diversity in forms... Although it is basically an ent (lotr) and is the gardian/keeper of a forest, it has a unique "vibe" on how it is both animal, human, and Tree, and would only be 5-6 blocks tall in minecraft. I like it because although i didn't research it,
it apears much like a passive creature until provoked and I feel would attack only when the player breaks large amounts of nearby map-generated blocks or killed nearby animals. Because of this It would become a big problem to new players... Unless if it would rather ward the player off with excessive growling if the player is without armour and will only attack when hit or when a full set of armour is placed on.
When growling, the leshy could ward off players by spitting (or spraying) gases on him/her causing nonleathal, but anoying, effects. The leshy's main attacks would consist of leaping at the player, clawing, biting, and, because of it's treelike apearance, it could perhaps open up its chest or back and unleash a horde of insects, bats or birds in which will stay in a large group and attack by eather swarming the player or flying in circles and then charge the player like a bombing run. A snake or large centipede could Also apear out of a crevice or crack on the leshys arm or leg and be thrown at or slither towards the player.
also, when the leshy is growling it will stand its ground at a certain stance and stare and spit at the player until the player leaves at the radius of 150 blocks or if the player hits another animal or block within the radius, the leshy will shreak and scitter towards the player and continue the growling stance.
the leshy could eather apear as wolf-like, deer/moose-like, windego-like (from until dawn), warthog-like, mostly tree like, or like a giant man.
the leshy would have branches coming out of random parts of its body with moss and leaves and maybe some vines dangling from the branches that sway in the wind and could be used for a wip attack.

mowzie can change the name to keep the sence of originality (I won't judge) but I feel that this would be a pretty cool adition to the minecraft universe and would give the player a sence of waryness with their constant attacking and changing of the minecraft landscape.

Sounds more like your ideas from the last page...

Wait what? oh shoot yeah I forgot. sorry about the constant nagging of a "hide behind" sort of mob, just can't really shake the idea of it. I mean it's just such a cool and creepy creature in my eyes, one that focuses completely on creeping out the player with its characteristic clicking that would always come from behind them- so cool. But meh, that would sorta ruin the joyful and somewhat happy playstyle of minecraft.

    Anyhow..
    idea
    I
    V
Also, I've been wondering if you could (if you had the time) possibly add animations to the spawn eggs of your upcoming mobs?
for example; a rather 3D spawn egg that would appear a lot like an insect larva that would sometimes crawl around your hand or a spawn egg for a shadowy or demon-like mob that when the egg is right clicked on the ground, a black flame would appear and the mob would imerge from it...?

I don't have much more than this right now, but what about a mob that can phase through non-solid blocks (glass, leaves, etc)? Complete no-clip would be a bit much (also constant jumpscares while mining, right?), but passing through semi-tangible blocks might work. I'm picturing some sort of floating mask (not like the Barakoa masks, more of a draconian/skeletal style, with horns).

Also, is it remotely possible to make a mob that treats air as water? Flying fish!

Ooh, what if that could be implemented to a sort of shadow mob that would hide in bushes? Like a sort of mob that would appear like the "hide behind" from some folklore (forget which) It would have a time limit before attacking (unless if attacked) causing it to fallow the player and in fact could have some sort of trigger attack like the enderman were if you spot it when it is hiding in the bushes and stare for a while it will attack and when stalking it will target leaf blocks so that it is always hiding. when it moves from leaf to leaf it will appear as a blurry shadow darting from one to another if there is little space between them.

I remember someone talking about a leperchaun mob that will run into the loading chunks in the distance when you try to catch him, and I came up with a mechanic for an extremely rare and creepy mob.

I was thinking of perphaps a mob that could only spawn when a certain distance setting was in putted, such as (I forget what the distance settings type of measurement is) lets say 10 blocks. This will add in a creepy atmosphere by itself because nearly everything you see is fog. The mob would still be pretty rare and I'm undissided on what type of animal is it, so I'll just present you al my ideas on it.

My first one is that the mob is a windego or hide-behind in design, where it is a large dark figure that well let out random screams/screechesthat echo through the air, but who will then attempt to circle the player at a large radius and fast speeds so they barely see them until letting out a singnature screech that means it will attack you. It's first attack will be it leaping at you, usaully from the front, and dealing massive knockback damage.

The rest of the attacks can be your choice.

My second idea would be a rock-like monster that spawns in caves and is basicaly just a tank and all its attacks are mostly charging, also since its a cave. His sounds are very echoy.

my third idea is a player sized mob, maybe some sort of insect or arachnid, that will only spawn in player biult places, meaning that it will only spawn were the player spent most of their time or simply spawning 10-20 blocks from the player when they are placing blocks. It could eather be almost exactly like the windegos from until dawn, or it could apear more like a large ant like animal that has large jaws and will launch the player like a gollum, or it could be a one block large cricket or cockroach like insect that can break would and/or will go to the nearest wood blanc and crall into it like a silver fish exept over time the block will have the texture of as if someone was breaking or really laggy and when it breaks the original insect mob and about 9 baby insects will come out and attack. If you break the block while the insect is in it, the insect will charge at you from the block and when broken, the block will drop insect eggs that could be for a food sorce or planted into a freinds house. Also if the distance is changed while the insect has infected a block or while it's atacking you, the insect will die in a puff of black smoke and not drop any drops.

my last idea is that the mob could be some sort of serpent or whale like creature that spawns oceans or large lakes and can only be heard under water. It's sound is much like a whales or the "bloop" from the real recording. It coils like a snake would around a tree and attacks by swimming quickly from eather side of your distance limit dealing 4 damage and sometimes hitting you out of the water. It can be hurt when attacking and if you manage to hit it, it will slightly drift in the water and release a blood cloud that wil last for a minute, you can then attack it repeatedly before it regains consousness. It has no scales and apears to have soft skin.

my other idea is a plant that spawns no matter your distance setting and will spawn in swamps, it apears very much like a foliath seed and can be hidden in grass. It's sole perpose is to emit fog that travels for quite some distance and last about 40 seconds before the plant sprays more in the atmosphere. When killed it will drop its seeds. Its seeds can be modified in a workbench or cauldron with some other plants or drop from mobs to change its colour, change its thickness, and make it poison curtain mobs. It then can be planted and will grow imidiatly. Its animation when producing fog will make it apear to be squeasing out the fog.

So one day while I was pacing around my house I picked up one of my mini figures from LEGO power miners and then I thought "Hey, this would be a great mob for minecraft!"

    "Crystal Ape"

The crystal ape spawns in mineshaft "boss rooms" (the drop offs with a huge dirt floor rooms) you know you're near one when you start seeing "Rock Gremlins" Which are block sized monsters made of stone with yellow green crystals around the block body, they have button sized limbs and attack by roll themselves up, jumping into the air, and doing a sonic style homing attack. You can pickaxe them, but you can also just dodge they're attack and they hit the ground and crumble.

Onto the crystal ape. She is in a dormant state when you see her, which looks like a huge boulder in the ground with yellow green crystals in it.

But when approached. She wakes up and starts to attack. She is 5 blocks tall and 4 blocks wide. She looks like a gorilla made of craggy rock with the yellow green crystals in his back, arms, and legs, and his face looks like the crystal king from LEGO power miners.

    His health is 350.

    Attacks:

Rolling Herself up and rolling around at the speed of soun- I MEAN a spider, if she hits you, you take 4 hearts of damage and you get knocked back as if she had knockback 1. While in his rolling form, she will sometimes jump, stunning you for 3 seconds . Leaving you open to get hit. This can be avoided by jumping yourself.

Simply punching you, dealing 3 damage.

    Grabbing you and throwing you.

Shooting crystal shards from her finger.

Making her fist surrounded by crystals and punching you HARD. Dealing 8 damage and uppercutting you with her crystal fist, dealing 4 damage.

BUT if she misses with the last attack, her fist will be stuck in a wall for 7 seconds. making her open to mining her back out expose a core, swing at it until she gets her fist out of the wall and roars, causing 3 zombies in leather armor to fly out of the opening to the "boss room" in minecarts, the minecarts break on impact with the dirt floor. Do this until she dies, in which she will go into her ball form and explode (non block damaging)

    Drops:

34-63 Power Crystals, which when crafted into a full set of armor and worn, will give the wearer the ability of the Crystal Ape, which is rolling to a ball and going at high speeds. Knocking everything out of the way and dealing 5 damage.

But if you put a crystal in the bottom middle of a crafting bench and encase it with stone, and but 3 pieces of stone so it looks like a glove.

It will make A CRYSTAL GLOVE!

With this astonishing work of weaponry, you can now shoot crystals from the glove in the way the you-know-what would do.

You can also grab one block tall mobs and throw them as if you hit it with knockback 2!

    Well, there it is.

Hah, power miners, I miss those. I still do basicaly have all the sets though.
also, a cool design for a rock-like creature that can role up into a ball could be like from this acrid from lostplanet1-3 (my favourite xbox game(s))
it would roll up into a ball and attempt to bash into you. The cool part about it was that (like most acrid) it had a glowing red body part inwhich was more vulnerable then anywhere else on the body.
what you could take from it is of an insect like look to the consept of the rock monster,
    just inspiration
