Gagetet, it will never be late to join, both fortunately, and unfortunately. ANYWAY, you should...uh...way too much to type out...okay, first, add magic to your armor and weapon. Only one weapon with a magic power, only 1 armor with a magic power. You can have as many other weapons/armor as long as they do not have power. Add more detail to personality and appearance.

    posted a message on [REQ]NPC Quests/Villages/Tribes/AdventureORSandbox
I know this is probably a redundant request/mod/plee but I am serious when I say the world of minecraft needs to be a bit more lively and....uh....quest-interactive. As in questing. To Gain Influence. Which effects Minecraftia. Which means Villages/Cities/Strongholds. Which means NPCs. Yes. Once again , i am adding a request for a mod or map that includes NPC villages and quests for and 'Adventure Mode' type feel or even if you want to keep the Sand Box feel, Building and creating to protect a small tribe of NPCs that can get bigger depending on your efforts to keep them alive. Yes...just someone, please dont look down on this.

Another thing. Mods, for some reason, are a bit 'complicated' for me, if you get my drift. I can't, for the life of me, add a mod to a Minecraft world, and I don't know how to use Modloader. I can download maps just fine, though.

I would like to see NPC's too, but only in the event that Adventure Mode becomes a reality. In that case NPCs would be a necessity, but in survival mode I kinda like the feeling that I'm all alone in a big world.

Very true. I, for one, would very much like to see an adventure mode :Notch:

Hello! This is, infact my first post, and it's only been a week since i've been playing minecraft, and already i am a devout minecrafter!

Anyways, a little about myself, My name is Gage(Gagetet) and I am a 17 year old Michigander who is currently dual enrolled at Summit Academy Highschool and Henry Ford Community College for Writing and History. I am a big video game player, as well as reader and writer, and I do plan on majoring in writing(mostly creative writing)

Now that i've told you a couple things about myself, I'd like to move on and express this idea i've had in my head since the first time i played the game. I loved it.the whole concept was way refreshing when it comes to video games(I'm used to Black Ops, etc.) But there were things i could name right off the bat that could also improve the gameplay(Very few things). NPCs! i'm not talking about smart, advanced AIs who literally catch on to your every move. I'm talking about very simply coded, simplistic AIs who fill in and allow you to make choices that would alter gameplay.

To help better understand this, I'm kind of implored to direct you guys to the Fable games of The Elder Scroll games. Now, obviously giving Minecraft NPCs that type of intellect would be bad(chunk loading issues, etc) but giving them a slightly advanced intellect than the Zombies and pet/farm mobs, and adding maybe a bit of scripting(dialogue) to them, the game would be slightly funner.

Another thing, adding the ability to make influencial choices(Nothing to advanced. Just like Killing an NPC or not, Leading to many into a mob-on-mob fight and watching them die at the hands of creepers or not, and keeping them safe)so that your NPCs either love or fear you(this could be evident via dialogue. "Hello, Sir!" or "I'll Follow you, Sir" for the good of heart or *Avoids eye contact* or "Oh. It's you,")another thing is only giving the npcs you have already found no respawn chances so if you lose one, they are gone for ever.

I like to build small villages, but seeing them empty is kind of depressing. I know the idea of human NPCs has probably been tossed around abit, but think about it. It could add a whole new concept to the game.
Please don't blow this off. I'd even do some dialogue for you guys if anyone decides to embrace this idea.

I have to give credit to Chilisoup and his topic at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55704 for helping me complete my idea.

    Thanks guys!
