Gage physically gags at Hadrian's response. "No. That won't do." Standing, wincing against the pain, Gage goes to the door and closes it, flipping a crudely fashioned latch so as to lock the door from the inside. "There was....a fight?" Gage asked, trying to clarify the jumbled thoughts and questions in his head. There's others here? What do the Insignias mean? Is there a Reason I was Brought here? Who is Hadrian?
"Your in my....my...home I guess.." Gage replied, reluctant to call anything but his real home home. "Do you know what these insignias mean?" Gage asked, curious, and now worried. A Large field of bodies was anything but comforting, even if he hadn't seen it himself. Gage sighed, lifting what was left of his Blunt-sword, and tossing the small piece of his handle to the floor, Thinking to himself. What is wood gonna do against....against armed and dangerous men?
Even with extensive training in Kali and Muy Thai, without the right tools, he would be defenseless against armor and weapons. If only I had a real sword...or a set of Balisong. Even a set of daggers would do. What he asked next brought a wave of nausea to his stomach. Looting dead people was the last thing on his mind. "Do you remember if there were any.....any weapons left on the...bodies?" Gage choked on his own words as they came out.
Gage paused abruptly, slowly raising his head. Bodies.....?! "Bodies?...Like...what do you mean? Bodies of animals or bodies of...of people?" From somewhere deep inside him, anxiety began to rise like a balloon climbing the sky to its freedom. Something was going on here that he did no understand. Two insignias?...What the hell does that mean?

"I'm Gage. I carried you here, do you remember that?" Gage asked, relieved Hadrian was responding, now tending to his own pain. The fire in his side had grown to a full blazing sear, and Gage had completely ignored it to make sure Hadrian would not die. He felt Heroic, and filled with bravado, but didn't want to seem sheepish to Hadrian; as it were the man could barely speak. He pressed a colt cloth to his bruised side, wincing in pain and reaction to the cold.
[[Sorry for the late Respond i've been studying guys. I've got ACT's all week so sorry if im a little late!]]
The man drank heavily from the small cup, and gage had to refill it twice before the drinking seemed to slow. Gently, Gage propped his head up on a lump of wool and tried to get a verbal response from the man. "Hey guy, can you hear me? Can you understand me? What's your name?" he asked slowly and deliberately, patiently waiting to see if he would get a response.
Gage could make out blood crusted wounds as e drew nearer to the man, and when he responded, it wasn't much more comforting than the first sight of him. Completely disregarding the pain in his ribs, Gage rushed forward. Another life was on the line. Time to forget mere pain. "God, man!" Gage dropped to his knees and gently turned the man over, wincing as the pain in his ribs threatened to catch fire to his body.
"Hey! Hey wake up! Stay with me, man! What's your name?" Gage did not give the man a chance to answer before he was up, lifting the man, and slinging him over his shoulders. Gage coughed and grimaced in immense pain, and clutched with his free hand at his side, but nevertheless continued forward, taking the injured man into his hut, and retrieving a large bucket of cool water from the small wellspring outside his hut. He laid the man on the makeshift bed he had created using a large amount of gathered sheep wool from earlier today, and dipped a small wooden cup into the cool bucket of water, bringing it to the man's lips. "If you can hear me, try to drink. It's water, and it should help with your throat."
A second explosion near by ripped Gage from the peaceful blackness like a fisherman steeling his hook into the mouth of his catch. With great effort, Gage opened his eyes, squinting them against the pale early afternoon sunlight. His body, though extremely painful, did not seem to be broken; maybe a cracked rib or two, but he found breathing quite easy aside from the initial soreness one might feel after experiencing an explosion that big at point blank range.
A few hundred yards away, out of a smoking crater in a rock face embedded into the side of a large hill, a man emerged, looking mangled and tired, but otherwise, and surprisingly, happy. Even as his knees buckled, the look of joy seemed to stay his face like a painted picture until he hit the ground, and his face contorted into what seemed like a grimace or wince. People Don't normally collapse like that.... Gage thought, forcing himself to his feet, despite the searing pain in his side. I've got to help...or at least offer what I Can..." Gage thought as he limped, side clutched towards the prone man. As he came into earshot, Gage called out to the man. "Hello? Are you ok?"

The hideous hissing stopped abruptly as Gage swung the club hard, striking the green being in the side of the head, and sending it reeling backwards; but it started again, this time rushing forth with renewed effort to obliterate its adversary. Gage swung wide again, but missed as the thing changed course and ran sideways, coming at an angle. "****! Stay back!" Gage yelled, switching hands and swinging once more, hitting the thing in its ribs, causing it to stop its hissing again and double over.
Gage took advantage and brought the club up over his head, swinging down with all his might with an overhanded pummel; but the creeper had other plans. It hissed loudly, and and explosion ripped into the forest, creating a great crater, and sending Gage flying backwards through the air a good twenty-five feet before he came down hard, and skidded across the dirt and grass unconscious, with his club splintered, and clothes ripped and tattered. A fleeting thought shimmered on the edge of his subconscious, and he could just make it out. "Don't stay down for too long, idiot. Night will come."
[[Everyone is accepted. That explosion leaves an openning for someone to find me, i guess]]
