I'm not sure this is fair. By level 2 you have 100% chance of getting at least half a mutton. Level 4 is a bit outrageous. This would make sense if you couldn't swing the sword so fast, but right now you'd have full hunger from zero in less than two seconds.
Do you understand how much XP these would take? Not just chump change, level 4 would be quite expensive, I'd imagine.
It's a sword that spits out Jaffa cakes right into my mouth when I kill an enemy!
I'm not entirely supportive. I like the idea, but the mechanics are overpowered. They might not appear overpowered as text, but role play it with 1d4 dice and you'll see what I mean. Even at tier 2, 10 kills would net me 6.5 hunger (rolled d4 dice 10 times 1-3 = .5 hunger, 4 = 1 hunger). At tier 3, 10 kills would net me a minimum of 10 hunger, and more likely 12-13 hearts. It doesn't take long to kill 10 mobs at night, not to mention the random sheep or chicken, which typically go down in 1 hit.
Again, I like it, but as is, not yet
I like how you completely ignore the fact that this is an enchantment, and as such, you won't ever know just when you will get it, or how much it costs. I'd imagine that level four would be quite expensive.
Whatabout if you would join my hamachi server, and we could play it together there?
Just download hamachi, and join my network, I'll PM the password and name to you.
About that...minecraft will not work on my PC anymore, so I don't really have any way of checking that anymore.
Er, no. In order to fire a piece of TNT, you need up to 7 pieces of TNT to propel it. This, you can place in a dispenser and have an instant TNT cannon.
Your point is...? If I'm making a custom map and I want to simulate a dramatic escape, I'm not going to build 50 massive and complex TNT cannons. I can, but that would suck.
This is the sandstone door. No, unfortunatelly, it doesn't work with pistons. But, if the player tries to break to the treasure room behind it, it will activate wooden pressure plate. It can be deactivated by solving the redstone puzzle.
There is 16 different combinations in the puzzle, and only one will work. If the payer tries to escape from the puzzle room with wrong combination, dispenser will shoot him to lava. Lava can't be piced up, because its not sourceblock; the room is playerproof.
The security system behind the sandstone door: Levers will drop to the pressure plate when the block is broken, activating TNT next to the chests. The pressure plate can be deactivated by solving the puzzle.
The hidden dispenser behind the lava:
The puzzle room:
The puzzle itself:
As you can see, there is 4 levers, and redstone lamp. When the redstone lamp is off, the puzzle is solved.
Treasure room: (Replace gravel with TNT)
If the sandstone door is opened with wrong combination, the TNT next to chests will explode.
I'm sure I forgot something, but I can upload it later if needed.
Very good work! Could I get a copy of the map to test it myself? I can adjust the specifications if the vault is too claustrophobic, so you have more room to work in.
however i really like the rest of this, would advise figuring out another use for lapis though XD cause if you can find a blue/cyan/purple/whatever else butterfly it would completely mitigate that ore's use. but otherwise, its all good from this corner.
the TNT with the ghast fireball should look like the things on top of the obsidian towers in the end, that would be cool
I suppose it would 'look cool', but remember, I'm doing this mostly to convenience custom map makers (such as myself). It would make things like battleships much easier to simulate.
Em, glaciers? Hmm... You mean large masses of ice and snow? I can probably create something. Kinda new biome or something.
I'll create that redstone puzzle for you today.
I forgot about giving you the specifications (sorry).
The vault has to be no larger than 30x30x20
The TNT inside has to be ignited if one of the shells are breached, to destroy the loot.
The shells must be made of obsidian to make it harder to break in (the TNT is to punish cheaters)
There must be a door to the vault that uses pistons.
The good thing about the "temp chunk" system is that it won't lag as you go deeper.
Using 16x16x16 chunks is a really good idea. If you want to see how this works in Minecraft, check out Robinton's Cubic Chunks mod (). I've also experimented with it myself as a separate project, you can see in that even a rather mediocre rig (GTX260) can keep up nicely.
So there are no technical limitations. You can safely assume your world is "infinitely" high/deep, completely persistent, and runs at least as well as the game currently does. It's just very difficult to get it working as a Minecraft mod.
I have a challenge for you: research glaciers, try to fit it to minecraft, and hand the information over to me. I'll sort through it and try to organize it enough to become a topic.
I have another idea for you (not post related) that I will PM you about. Watch your inbox.
Ok the temp chunks idea needs to be sorted out properly.
Coz we do NOT want the world to be infinately deep... We want the bedrock with magma, but the temp chunks down to there is good, and i guess you would have to do it sideways too...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it only goes down as far as your computer allows before creating lag.
Well actually one of the buildcraft addons comes with a chunk loader (a placeable block that will load its corresponding chunk and surrounding ones everytime the game is loaded and they stay loaded) so this would fix the problem and cause little lag if the chunks were 16x16x16.
Apart from that things are great, but we need the magma bottom even if themp chunks is implemented.
Both ideas were created by Minecrafteistamaan, so he wins either way. Well played good sir.
Back on topic, do you think cave ins would occur at lower levels sometimes? Some of the ceiling randomly turns into gravel, say.
That would make sense, but there is one problem: this would create unexplained gaps in the ceiling of the cave. It wouldn't improve the realism very much.

I can teach you. It's actually quite easy, assuming you know how to work winrar.
Why not? It's incredibly easy.
Yes, I gave some more details in the private conversation. Look in there and you should find what you are looking for.

You are contradicting yourself here. Please learn how to prioritize and then organize your complaints so they don't end up looking like this.
This last bit is redundant.

You can carry a literal TON in your pockets. I wouldn't make a realism argument here (even though I like realism).
I'll look into it.

That's why it should be added ASAP.
It has grown exponentially. I am surprised by this.

I need to make a flow-chart for comments like these...
Either
A. Pray tell good sir!
or
B. Not comment because, although supportive, this comment doesn't help the Co-owner : Minecrafteistamaan

I'm sorry, my computer crapped out just as I was about to post the updated version of the OP; now I'll have to work on it tomorrow instead.
If you need anymore challenges, I'd be happy to let you see what you could change on my OP.

Without proper grammar and spelling, I have no idea what you are talking about. (no offense)
Quote from the movie called Holes:
"I can fix that"
Seriously, I can. I've been diagnosed with acute OCD.
Both ideas were created by Minecrafteistamaan, so he wins either way. Well played good sir.
I agree.
Your post is somehow more cheerful than mine...

I will probably restart my refurbishing of the OP tomorrow.
Yeah, I had something about that in my updated OP...but then my computer died as I tried to post.
The clouds would probably be turned off to prevent lag.
I think Minecrafteistamaan has explained this quite a few times: you should go back and check.
