posted a message on AFK farm redstone help please?! (Redstone repeaters)

The reason why picture 2 doesn't retract is because you strengthen the power with the redstone, then the signal goes back into the repeater, making a clock circuit that keeps it on, since there is no way to get the redstone to turn off other than to break the redstone. I've had that happen to me so many times now, it's annoying.

Maybe this will help you not make that mistake in the future.

Also, make sure you show everything in your circuit, like the pistons and the input source. It's hard to come up with solutions when you show just a wire.

posted a message on Coloured lights

Yeah, this idea would be cool for the game, but I'm thinking what Jancrash said... it's a shame, because it really would be interesting. I remember years ago I would try to do this by using glowstone and stained glass... maybe that should make colored light...?

um, so youre looking for a way around slime blocks then...?

i thought of the concept of slime blocks before mojang implemented them, but in my big brain the way i considered doing it was by placing slime balls on the faces of blocks like redstone, and then if another block touched it on that face theyd stick together. i still think this would be a better method than what we currently have since the block textures would be all youd see, but im just glad we have slime block functionality at all :)

yes, good point. It should act like redstone, and stick to surfaces.

I've used this kind of stuff with Survivalcraft. And it is super handy to have multi-count pulling pistons. I could make doors that slide up that are more than a block high. I can also move stuff around much more efficiently than just one block.

Full support for this suggestion, but the idea that powerwindows came up with would make it better.

posted a message on Feed sheeps grass to grow back wool quicker

Yes, I know the frustration of waiting an eternity for a single sheep to grow back its wool... the only thing I don't like is how annoying it is to get grass... you need shears, and the grass wrecks your shears quicker than shearing sheep (or at least it seems to). If only we could use a sword to harvest plants...

Either way, full support for this suggestion.

posted a message on Sleeping without setting your spawn point (Sleeping without a bed)
    Quote from Ghost00»

Youve never basically made a bed out of covers and slept on the floor of a friends house @GDog_0 ?

And yes, realistically speaking humans are capable of sleeping on floors......

If i were to gover my friends house, its either make something to sleep on the floor with or sleep on a couch. Rarely did they have an extra bed for me to sleep on, or did i ever bring a Full bed with me

My point was that he is suggesting we be able to sleep on all surfaces... that includes bedrock. I don't think most people can sleep on bare rocks without any covers.

posted a message on Most pointless things ever done in Minecraft

What are some pointless creations you made in Minecraft?

Here is a list of the most cringeworthy and pointless things I created up to 6 years ago:

Tunnels made out of random materials I liked (bedrock, glowstone, lapis lazuli blocks, etc)

Houses made out of every material in the game

Staircases to the top of the world

Giant TNT skyscrapers 5 blocks wide I'd fill with every material in Minecraft

Walls of paintings on those skyscrapers until the world reached its painting limit

A wall of item frames with every material in Minecraft

Rooms of furnaces I'd never use

Oversized farms that are ludicrous beyond belief

Tunnels to places that are longer than just walking to a beacon

Giant chairs that are larger than the player

Replacing gravel in villages with ores

    Farms in Creative mode

    Maps without an internet connection

Naming my worlds names to describe how epic they are, like "insane" and "collest" (yes, I'm serious, I made a typo)

Replacing the walls in the tutorial mansion with other materials, like snow

Replacing all materials in a new world with wool that is colored to what the item is; grass would be green while stone would be gray, for example

    posted a message on Nostalgia

The old mountains of Minecraft, before those ugly stone patches were added and they ruined the world generator... before 1.7, hills and mountains were nice, but after 1.7, extreme hills biomes became super ugly, plagued with stone and with ugly plateaus instead of hills...

I also enjoyed the old graphics and music, before that got ruined too.

My english teacher would make us read books when we were done with our work... I then proceeded to read those handbooks multiple times because I really couln't find something else to read. Even after I had had them for years.

Maybe Minecraft should do this one halloween. That actually would be cool.

But for the rest of the year, it is best to keep Herobrine a legend.

I'm going to ask one big question: do you really think it is realistic to sleep on the floor of your friends house?

I'm going to give no support for this suggestion.

posted a message on 1.15 farming update

1.15... isn't that the update with the bees? I really don't know what all the buzz is about for this new update, but so many suggesters suggest a specific version...

Also, the only things I have specific problems with are the irrigation systems (very annoying to begin with) and grapevines (not all vines have grapes, as there are ivy vines, which is probably what vines are supposed to be)

At this point, it would be more for novelty than functionality. If you really want us to support your suggestion, show some actual benefits other than mixing up our routines.

posted a message on When You Used to be a Noob...

Back in 2013, I was super frustrated that peaceful mode wasn't working since there were wolves. I also abandoned worlds after sunset came.

I also spent way too much time building staircases to the top of the sky; later on, I found out there is a height limit.

I was building on my superflat world when I encountered the edge of the world, and I thought the game was glitched.

One of my most pointless adventures includes building houses out of every material in the game; I still do this every once in a while.

I abandoned one of my first worlds because I dug straight down and landed in a cave; for some reason, I didn't think to just build up.

When I was making those pointless staircases, I wanted to make them out of planks, but couldn't because there were only so many planks I could find just laying around in the tutorial world.

My first house was so crude that it literally was some dirt and sand under a tree.

When I first started Creative mode, I couldn't tell the difference between Creative and Survival mode, with the exception of hearts. After a minute, I proceeded to grab about 3 stacks of planks instead of just one stack.

I used to make houses that were just boxes and used slabs for the tops of tables. I also made full-size chairs that were over 3 blocks high.

On my first house I made, I made a nether portal with a wooden floor. I must have missed, and I just went to the nether. After I came back, my house was on fire and I then decided to put it out by grabbing a bucket of water and dumped it all over my burning 2nd floor. There was water everywhere (this was when sponges were decorative items only in Creative mode) and I couldn't find out how to get rid of all the water. I exited the world without saving and just built a new house (or went to a version of the game where the house wasn't burnt, I don't know which)

When I encountered my first zombie (in Creative mode), instead of trying to kill it, I went and I tried to block it off with a bunch of stone slabs.

When phantoms were introduced, instead of going to bed, I would try to kill them. They just keep spawning more and more phantoms.

It took me a long time to figure out what fly mode was... I ended up leaving worlds because I accidentally activated fly mode and couldn't get back down to the ground. I later visited the how to play section and found out about fly mode, but not before I lost hours of work with "glitches" that I accidentally activated.

When I first found coal, I tried mining it with my bare hands. I wondered why I didn't get any coal.

Yeah, I was a true noob back then. I still am a little nooby to this day, but I've learned a thing or two after years of playing Minecraft.
