did they fix the particles so they are oriented directly at the screen instead of making a very un-minecraft like circle around you?

Crazy, I was just reading a thread about how minecraft would work on a 3DS. Most of the replies said that it couldn't happen!

I feel like the new textures are trailing too high into the bit depth, and too far away from the original 16 bit style that alluded toward 80's-90's dungeon crawlers like the Eye of the Beholder, and Elder Scrolls: Arena.

Is anyone else having a problem where water lags the game whenever it flows? Already submitted a bug report, I'm just wondering how many other people out there are having this issue!

I liked it until they started trying to make the world a better place with it. I liked it when it was just a videogame.

it's EXACTLY what they're doing. As soon as all the people that bought minecraft when they were 15 get comfy, SNAP! They changed the hues, they changed the field of view, they changed the creeper sounds! Everything is changed just a LITTLE BIT so you never feel the same feelings you did when you first played the game again. THEY DO NOT WANT NOSTALGIA.
They did the same think with Evolve. Tf2. Ark: Survival Evolved. Countless MMORPGs implement this strategy in order to keep recycling new players and kicking out old ones, just by abandoning any comfortable memorable feelings they have there. They do not care that their ORIGINAL FANS do not like the changes, they only care that a LARGER NUMBER of NEW FANS are going to purchase the game.
What's that? You guys didn't do this on purpose? Well then you sure did do it on accident.

Initial thoughts are that the spiders climbing is terrible animation (like the goat floating up the ladder in that one youtube video)
And no more unique items, IMO this game is getting "too" dispersed like Terreria, where it's impossible to remember all the little factors that only pertain to one or two things. Also, instead of blending with the nether like potion ingredient mobs did, they would end up being a whole new set of information that is kind of it's own thing. -

Very rare (about as rare as magma cubes) aggressive and fast moving, 3 block long worms that tunnel through nether. They would move just about as fast as steve, and be able to be heard crunching through netherrack from several blocks away.
Due to the horizontal limitations of these creatures, they would have to rely on randomly spawning(hatching) inside hollow spots around the nether, and falling down when/if they pop out of walls somewhere. This also abides to how rare they are, considering most of these grubs are lost in the lava down below, or stuck chewing through the walls forever. When you DO find them, or worse if they find you, it offers a surprising chase onto the nearest flat surface to get it while it sprawls out, confused in the open.
Mechanics could be like slower silverfish, which destroy the block in front of them at a bit faster that a player can, and don't take fall damage. They would have to spawn at higher elevations in the nether and rely on the game mechanics to let them do a combination of tunneling and falling in order to encounter the player somewhere.
Could supply nether quartz, sometimes glowstone dust as a rare drop. Imagine a pale white/creme silverfish but with tapered front and back ends, about as tall as an enchantment table in the middle. - To post a comment, please login.

What are your strengths/weaknesses in Minecraft?: I am good at designing things and keeping track of resources, but I am bad at self defense and planning attack. I like to build a strong base and lock myself inside.
What is your favourite building style?: Partially sunken buildings with dim lights and lots of moving parts. I like redstone contraptions that interact with the building and the player. Decorations everywhere.
What aspects of multiplayer servers do you enjoy/think you'll enjoy most?: More people to interact with and trade or converse with over resources. Watching each others backs and taking care of each others needs.
What are your hobbies outside of Minecraft?: I like to play music even though I'm not great. I listen to music non stop. I got a couple guitars and a keyboard that I use with my laptop.

How did you hear about The Sanctuary SMP community? If it's from a friend, who do you already know?: I found you guys on the first page on minecraftforums.
What is your favorite/preferred base/building style? I like partially sunken houses. Compact designs to fit the most stuff in one space. Little simple looking places that have redstone or constructions underneath. I also like to mess with the lighting and get dim lights or lots of shadows with half blocks. Decorations everywhere. I like it when places look warm and comfy.
What aspect of vanilla gameplay draws you towards SMP? Limits and progression. Seeing people form groups and scavenge for resources in a natural way. Watching a community build an actual village out of those resources. Taking part in whatever job fits my strengths is part of the fun. Helping others work their way up to diamond armor and elytra is cool.
Do you have any experience with Minecraft communities? Some, I have played on plenty of servers throughout minecrafts years and I was trusted on an RPG server.
Outside of Minecraft, what kinds of activities/hobbies do you enjoy? I like listening to music, if you consider that a hobby. I mainly just play games. Sometimes I drive, but I just use that to listen to music. So, music!

I have heard that Radeon cards don't put java minecraft through the GPU because it uses OpenGL. Here are my settings, with optifine, that boosted my frames back into 100+ fps
Ryzen 5 2600
RX 580 8GB
8GB 3200MHZ
make sure you allocate 4GB+ to minecraft, it looks like you're only using two

you can go into the minecraft files and just replace alyx with another steve skin, that way your personal PC will display steve as a default
keep in mind that this would be considered a modded version of minecraft, and you wouldn't be able to play on some servers afterward

Favorite Aspects of Online Play: Trading with others and building collaborative villages and networks
Least Favorite Aspects of Online Play: Governed interactions, too many mod packs or plugins
A bit more about yourself: I like to play normal minecraft and don't know much of the quick tricks. I like to build from the inside out and make things with moody lighting

About you - I'm a horrible troll on random servers but I get serious in a community.
Discord - Fzlue#2098
What is your preferred building style? - Pure minecraft elements with no impromptu items or items used as other items, and I love neat lighting tricks
Picture of previous builds - see below
Redstone experience (1-10) - 3 maybe cuz I've made an item sorter and some traps and locks
Any questions for us? - Do the admins use creative mode too much?
