posted a message on ClassicCraft - Small Whitelisted Minecraft Server
    SERVER CLOSED

I closed ClassicCraft in November 2013. The server had not been doing so well for a while, and there were many other contributing factors as to why it closed. A large part had to do with my personal life.
I have always loved having servers, so I will be opening a new one in the future. This may be a few years, who knows. I am tired of Minecraft right now, and have too much going on IRL.

If you ever want to contact me, you can do at [email protected], on skype (Fwacer), or on Steam (Fwacer).

I know this is a disappointment to a lot of people, including myself, but I couldn't leave this post open anymore. It isn't fair to applicants that never receive a reply.

    Regards,
    Fwacer

    RIP ClassicCraft
    January 2013 - November 2013

    Original post:

    Hello fellow Minecrafters!

This is our official forum post for our server, ClassicCraft!
ClassicCraft is a white-listed survival/vanilla server, run by me, Fwacer.
Note: This means we do not use Creative mode, /tp, or /give. Some people apparently need me to clarify.
We consist of players who enjoy eachother's company. We love hanging out on Skype while we do server events, as well as playing pranks on each other! Unfortunately, this has diminished as of late.
We are always happy to add new members, but unfortunately we can not accept all applications.

    Your application should include, but is not limited to;
    • Your IGN (Minecraft username)
    • Your age
    • Why you would like to join
    • How you found ClassicCraft
    • What you would bring to this server
    • Something that you're not so good at
    • Your favourite thing about Minecraft
    • How we can contact you
    • Your time zone (UTC). Please use this tool if you are having trouble.
Please submit your application to [email protected]. Do not add me on Skype unless I tell you to do so.

Note: We will not be accepting players younger than 14.

    posted a message on MineRack | $2/GB | US & EU ! | Custom Panel ! | MySQL / Custom JAR's / Unlim. slots! | DDOS Protected | Free Dedicated IP!
I've been with Minerack for 2 months now I think, and they are great! I have the Iron Tier (2gigs).
If I ever have a problem, they help me out right away. I'm paying half the price I was paying with my last provider, for double the ram :) Plus, my old provider had many problems with huge lag and server crapping out, which if this one does, it's remedied asap.
I've been impressed with how well they run this company, and that's why I'm leaving a review.
If you have any questions regarding my experience with Minerack, feel free to PM me.

    EDIT:
Worst service I have ever received. 0/10 would not recommend.
They were good for the first 3 months and then all went to crap. Never buy from these guys.

WorldEdit! I use it on Bukkit servers to copy/paste things frequently when making custom maps. It should work for your needs just fine.

posted a message on SkyBlock PVP
    SkyBlock PVP v1.1

So, this is the first map I have made, and I've decided to release it here.
I made this map for either 8 players (two per skyblock) or 4 players. However, you can easily customize it to suit your purposes by running over in creative and demolishing an island.
This map was created specifically for my server, ClassicCraft, and we've had a blast beta-testing it.
I plan to completely redo the spawning area in the near future.

This map tries to stay close to the original Skyblock, by having a very similar spawn island.

I have edited the contents of the chest, and added 3 other Skyblocks, forming a square.

Each island is composed of 89 blocks of dirt, 8 sand, 1 gravel, 1 iron block, two chests, and a bedrock block.
    Screenies:

    Isometric view.

Cut-away view of gravel and iron block.

    Main chest contents.

    Tree chest contents.

In between each pair of islands, there is a block chest. (3*64 oak leaves)

At centre, there is a trapped chest with 10 obsidian, 16 arrows, and 2 diamonds.

    [\spoiler]

    Badly made video by me:

    Change log:

    v1.1
    - Made spawn area more idiot-proof.
    - Removed RS-NOR Latches from spawning pressure plates. (Glitchy teleporting)
    v1.0
    - Initial release

    Download Link:
If you enjoy this map, please click the green arrow in the bottom right corner of this post! :)
Feel free to create videos of this map, as long as you leave a link to this post. I can also embed your video of you playing this map in this post if you leave a link to it down below.

posted a message on HELP PLEASE!
Perhaps this is your problem. See the lines in bold.

    Improvements & Changes
    • Inventory management
      • Double click items to fill the stack up as much as possible.
      • Drag item stacks around to divide them up over the dragged-over slots.
      • Drag item stacks around with the right mouse button to place one of that stack in each dragged-over slot, if that slot is not occupied already.
      • ⇧ Shift+ double click items in a crafting area to place all items in the inventory.
      • ⇧ Shift+ double click an item stack to move all other item stacks of that kind to that part of the inventory.
      • Pressing Q while the mouse is over an item in the inventory or a container will drop it.
      • Held armor can be equipped by right-clicking.

Who cares about what is faster.
People who build redstone deviced cares about how it works, and the big machines

I disagree entirely. While this make be true for something incredible, all this is is a piston elevator. They've been done before. Therefore, it either needs to be revolutionary, or extremely fast. It is not either, so compact is what your should be going for.
Being compact is EVERYTHING when it comes to redstone, half of this forum is just people compacting other people's designs.

posted a message on Piston elevator: Only 2 pistons.
This is an idea I had when pistons first came out, but I lacked the knowledge in redstone to understand how to make one: A piston elevator with only two pistons, a sticky on top (pointing down) and a normal one underneath (facing up)
I'm sure this has been done before, more efficiently and faster, but I think it's cool :P
Note: This is meant the be survival-friendly, that's why I wanted to make this. It's rare to find slimes for sticky pistons :P

    After a few fails

I made a breakthrough while trying to find a way to make it modular, which turned out to be a simple five clock and vertical wiring.. I've tried to make this faster, but have not yet found a way.
The five clock and the rest of the wiring
View from the other side, in case you can't see everything
One issue is sometimes, you get stuck in the piston. All you have to do is jump once, and you're on your way :) Please post comments and/or improvements that could be made!

Note: Please link me to any videos/posts to any idea similar to mine, I did not intend to copy or steal someone else's idea.

    EDIT:
Link to a very nice design:

The elevator is surrounded with purple wool.

posted a message on Mobs suffocating when moving with pistons.
    Quote from Cheppa

After 1.3 this has been happening a lot. Especially in my Blaze farm they tend to get stuck in the blocks when moving them with sticky pistons. They used to do it a lot less in previous versions. Does anyone else have this problem?

In 1.3, even ssp runs a server in the background. Soo that means everyone gets the glitchy mobs from smp! Yay!
One commentator on youtube has a Blaze farm with the same idea, and it took him forever to get right. His still works with 1.3, soo maybe edit yours to be a little mroe like his.

(couldnt figure out how to embed it, sorry)
