posted a message on Spotting scope!
When exploring, don't you wish you had a scope? A scope would be crafted like this:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Glass: [] :Glass:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
The scope would allow you to look far out, but would be shaky unless you used a tripod, that could be crafted like this:
    [] :|: []
    [] :|: []
    :|: [] :|:
The tripod could be placed on the ground, and the spotting scope put on with a right click on the tripod. Another right click would allow you to look through. When in the hand, the scope could be activated with a right click, and another to stop looking through.

I like the idea! I have obsidian in front of me that's trapped in some granite, so this seems reasonable.

posted a message on Kitchen crafting table
As I speak, someone in minecraft probably shoved pork down their throat. Raw pork. Uncooked pork. So why not have a kitchen? (No sexist jokes, ok?) You would craft one like so: ABC
    ADA
AAA A=wood, B=crafting table,C=bucket(empty), D=furnace. When opened, it would look like three furnace interfaces and 1 crafting block. Above each furnace-like interface was a word: Cutting, cleaning, cooking. The cooking would work just like a furnace, cleaning would require you to put in a bucket of water(good for ten uses till it becomes dirty and needs to be refilled) in the bottom slot, and cutting would require you to put a knife in the bottom slot(uses depends on type of knife). Using the kitchen would allow for more dishes and would give more hearts then food prepared on a workbench. That way you don't HAVE to have kitchen in order to eat, but it has rewards.

maybe, if you went further, only blocks 10 away from you would render. So from the inside it looked like the underground, but outside it looked like stuff was hanging of of the bottom of the map. This would mean no caves below a certain point.

Here's a hint to make a secure password: use something only relevant to you, like the name of your kindergarten teacher, or your dog. Then put initials of what your playing in front of so, say your first teachers name was smith, you would do mcsmith or smithmc. But I'm sorry that your account was stolen!

posted a message on Cave beavers!
So, here's the story of the cave beaver: Long ago, a beaver family crawled into a cave, fell of a ledge, and became trapped. Soon, they began to reproduce, and after thousands of years they evolved to have a glowing tail. However, they still long for logs to build lodges in the caves with.
Why would you want a cave beaver? They have a glowing tail that glows when they stop moving, providing a little less light then a torch.
How would you get one? Give it a log, and they will follow you around for a bit before scurrying off to start a lodge.
Are they smart? Yes, they've spent their whole life in a cave. They won't follow you into lava, or off a ledge. Instead, they will look at you, and wait till they can safely follow you again.
Where can I find them? In a cave, no dur. But they will be in a small family unit, and if you give them enough wood, they will build a lodge that you can find them in.
What are their personality's? They are passive. If attacked away from home, they will run back. If attacked at home, they will all start attacking you. If you light their lodge on fire, they will attack you. If you take wood, they will attack you.
What do they drop? Pelts, that can be used to make fur coats.

Maybe, there is someway to recharge the scuba tank with air? I like the idea, but here's two changes I would make: 1. Rather then replenishing air when you run out, your bubbles just last longer. 2. Some sort of recharge station with a furnace like inter face, where you put a used scuba tank in and coal that would power a fan to force compressed air into the tank, so if you make the divers suit, you don't lose two diamond when it runs out.

I love the idea! Although, like modern diving equipment, you could have some machine that recharges the air tanks air? BTW you should put this in the oceancraft thread.

posted a message on Redstone signs
*please not, as this being a simple idea, this is short*
I would like to see redstone signs. How would they work? If connected to redstone, they would display one message if the redstone was on, another off. They would act like redstone if in a circuit, so they could carry on power. To make one, you would craft it like this.
    :Red: :Red: :Red:
    :Red: :Logs^: :Red:
    :Red: :Red: :Red:
With :Red: being redstone and :Logs^: being a sign.
Just a little idea of mine :biggrin.gif:

posted a message on I have a question for the community!
So I was playing minecaft, and I was building a mob killer. As I walked along a little cat walk over the water fall into the lava (there was a dungeon sticking out of the side of a mountain, couldn't resist :smile.gif: and the game crashed! when I played again, I had all my stuff, but...I had turned the settings on peaceful before I built the catwalk but after I built the lava and waterfall. this meant I was were the catwalk SHOULD have been but wasn't. to make the story short, I fell, died, and in my escape attempt managed to incinerate my stuff. Should I use MinEdit or get back my stuff the old fashioned way?
