"What the hell is that!?" he cries
*The mutant grins at him as he swings a sledgehammer towards Varius*
*Varius jumps out of the way, He quickly pulls out his sidearm*
*As the Mutant turned to face him, Varius fired the pistol*
*The mutant groans in pain*
*using one hand the mutant swipes at Varius and hits him in the side*
*Varius looked up as he saw the mutant raise his hammer*
*Then the mutant's head exploded*
*varius looked up and saw a Brotherhood of steel soldier holstering his assault rifle*
*Varius stands* "Th-Thanks for the save" he said quietly
"Just be careful next time civilian" the soldier responded
"Hey are you recruiting?" Varius askes
"No, I'm sorry civilian" the soldier responds
"But I will take you to the nearest safe area" He said
"Yes, Okay Thank you" Varius said
*Varius follows the BoS soldier to the safe area*
Biography [About a paragraph or 2] -Varius was born in a small settlement outside an NCR outpost. His father was a traveling merchant and his mother stayed home to raise the children. Varius was taught by his father that the wasteland was a horrid place and it's always a good idea to have a trusty weapon and some armor with you. Varius spent his childhood learning how to survive. When he was fifteen his father gave him a pistol. He would go traveling around with his father and loved the thrill of adventure. When he was nineteen he left home to look for adventure and different types of people and creatures in the waste

Background:Varius was born in a small village with a small population. His father was a smith. Through out his child years his father told him to become a soldier when he was older and not a smith. He told Varius this because he wanted a son to be proud of. When Varius was fourteen his father made him a fine iron blade and got some wood from the nearby forest and made him some practice dummies to train on. When Varius wasn't at school his father encouraged him to train. When Varius was eighteen, a Templar recruiter traveled to the village and was looking for recruit. While Varius was inside helping his mother make breakfast, his father slipped out of the house and enlisted him.
